Installing a Digital Interface in Place of an A/D Converter in Combics Indicators, Models CIS1..|CIS2..|CIS3.. | CISL1..|CISL2..|CISL3..
98647-003-78
The YDI01C-WP digital interface built into the Combics indicator enables connection of any of the following:
– Digital weighing platform
(e.g. IS weighing platform) using the YCC02-R12F6 connecting cable (Option M41: 12-contact round female connector; length: 6 m; open cable ends), or
– Digital weighing instrument (e.g., LA, LP,
ME, EA, EB, CP balance/scale) using the YCC02-D25F6 connecting cable (Option M42: 25-pin D-Sub male connector; length: 6 m; open cable ends), or
– Digital weighing instrument (e.g. QA,
QC, FB, FC scale) using the YCC02-R12M6 connecting cable (Option M43: 12-pin round male connector; length: 6 m; open cable ends).
Note: To have devices communicate with the Combics indicator as platforms and scales through the SBI protocol, configure the operating menu as follows: Baud rate: 9600 Handshake mode: Hardware, 1 character after CTS Parity: Odd Number of data bits: 7 Stop bits: 1 Printing: Automatic without stability Identification: With ID code (22 characters)
To have devices communicate with the Combics indicator as platforms and scales over the xBPI protocol, configure the operating menu as follows: Setting: xBPI protocol Interface: RS-232 or RS-485
! Refer to the relevant operating instructions for descriptions of the operating menus. The menu setting in the Combics indicator depends on the particular platform to be connected: Setting: SBI or xBPI protocol Interface: RS-232 or RS-485
Example: For Combics 1 and 2, this setting is configured in the Setup menu; for Combics 3, in the menu under Device parameters WP1
RS-232 or RS-485
