need to do is unlock your phone.

All unanswered calls to your Sprint PCS Phone are
automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone
is in use or turned off. To avoid missing any important
messages, you will want to set up your Sprint PCS voicemail
box and personal greeting as soon as your Sprint PCS
Phone is activated.

The voice on the other end sounds clearest
when the antenna is all the way up.
2. Headset Jack:
Insert the plug of the headset (must be
purchased separately) for hands-free listening.
3. Soft Key (left):
Lets you select the menu (option)
corresponding to the bottom left line on the LCD.
4. Navigation Key:
Lets you navigate quickly and easily
through the menu options. When ringing, press or
key to off the ringer. From the Standby mode, press /
to take a short cut to Messages/Phone Book menu.

Turning Your Phone ON and OFF
Turning your Phone ON
To turn your phone on, press and hold for
approximately one second.
Once your phone is ON, the red LED light turns on for
approximately 5 seconds while your phone looks for a
signal. When your phone finds a signal, it automatically
enters Standby mode – the phone’s idle state. At this point,
you're ready to begin making and receiving calls.
If your phone is unable to find a signal after 15 minutes of
searching, a Power Save feature is automatically activated.
When a signal is found, your phone returns to Standby
mode.
Your phone searches for a signal periodically without
your intervention. You can also initiate a search for
Sprint PCS Service by pressing any key (when your phone is
turned ON).
Turning your Phone OFF
Press and hold for one second until you see
“Powering off” on the display.
Your screen remains blank while your phone is off unless
you’re charging the battery.
Tip:
The Power Save
feature helps to
conserve your
battery power
when you are in
an area where
there is no signal.

Using the KeyGuard
The KeyGuard feature helps avoid accidental key presses
without blocking incoming calls or messages. KeyGuard is
disabled when you receive an incoming call and is
reactivated when the call is complete.

Battery Capacity
Your Sprint PCS Phone is equipped with a Lithium Ion
(LiIon) battery. It allows you to recharge your battery
before it is fully drained. The battery provides
approximately 2.25 hours of continuous digital talk time or
approximately 160 hours of continuous digital standby
time.
When there are approximately five minutes of talk time left,
the blank battery icon appears, and the warning
message also appears on your screen prompting you to
recharge your battery. The phone sounds an audible alert
every 30 seconds for 3 times and then powers down.

Charging the Battery
Your Sprint PCS Phone comes with a rechargeable battery.
You should charge the battery as soon as possible so you
can begin using your phone.
Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your
battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically
turns off and you’ll lose everything you were just working
on. For a quick check of your phone’s battery level, glance
at the battery charge indicator located on your phone’s
display screen. If the battery charge gets too low, the battery
icon appears and the phone sounds a warning tone.
Always use the Sprint PCS charger, travel charger or
cigarette lighter adapter to charge your battery.

Using the Travel Charger
When you’re ready to charge your battery, it is vital that you
use only Sprint PCS-approved desktop chargers and travel
chargers. To use the travel charger provided with your
phone:

discharged, you may wait for several minutes until the
message is shown on the display. The battery icon turns
to , and message changes to “CHARGING
COMPLETE--Power Off--” when charging complete.
It generally takes about 2.25 hours to fully recharge a
completely rundown battery. With the Sprint PCS-approved
Li Ion battery, it is okay to recharge the battery before it
becomes completely run down.
