Timelapse VCRReal time VCR
☞VCR OUT
Set the output timing at the VCR OUT terminal, on the back
panel, to 1 or 3.
If “VCR MODE” has been set to “SP”, then the “VCR OUT”
•
setting is fixed to “1” and cannot be set.
If “VCR MODE” has been set to “LP”, the “VCR OUT” can
•
be set to either “1” or “3”.
Timing when “VCR OUT” is set to “1”
(see fig. 1, on page 22)
The VCR OUT terminal will control the camera output
switching in order to record 1 image from each camera input.
During playback of the recording, the image from each camera
will be played back at the normal speed (3H or 6H).
Timing when “VCR OUT” is set to “3”
(see fig. 2, on page 22)
The VCR OUT terminal will control the camera output
switching in order to record 3 images from each camera input.
During playback of the recording, the image from each camera
will be played back 3 frames at a time.
If a SW (switching) signal cannot be used
Enter the settings below.
☞VCR REC SPEED
Enter the setting corresponding to the connected VCR
recording speed. The durations indicated are for recording on
a E-180 tape.
SP: 3H → 12H → 24H → 48H → 72H → 96H → 120H →
168H → 240H → 360H → 480H → 720H → 960H
LP: 6H → 18H → 30H → 48H → 72H → 96H → 120H →
168H → 240H → 360H → 480H → 720H → 960H
NOTES:
If the speed is not set correctly, recording will not be
•
possible.
Most real time VCRs recording durations are based on a
•
E-240 tape. In such a case, refer to the table below in order
to use the correct setting.
Real time VCR recording speedEntered speed setting
NC: During alarm recording on the timelapse/real time VCR,
the recording speed will remain the same.
F3H (F6H): If using a SW (switching) signal, please use the
F3H (or F6H) setting. The switching signal will not
be output if the setting is 3H.
When using a SW (switching) signal
When a SW signal is output by the recording VCR, the
recording speed will be set automatically by the SW
signal and the setting entered here will be ignored.
However, some timelapse and real time VCRs do not
output a SW signal while recording in 3H speed mode.
It is therefore important to set this unit as described
below so the set recording speed is the same as the
recording speed on the VCR.
Under normal conditions, set “VCR REC SPEED” to “3H”.
•
If “VCR ALARM REC SPEED” is set to “3H” (or “6H” for LP
•
mode), change the setting to “F3H” (or “F6H” for LP mode).
If using a timelapse or real time VCR with a switching
•
output (SW OUT) function, then set as follows.
“FIELD” to “01”, “TIMING” to “FIELD”, “3H” to “Y” (Yes)
☞POSITION
↑: Will switch when the signal at the SW IN terminal goes to
High.
↓: Will switch when the signal at the SW IN terminal goes to
Low.
