Spo ut Rough

Rough Installation For Spout

NOTE: Only remove prote ctive cap w hile installing rough and when installi ng the trim. This will keep de bris out of mov ing parts.

Rem ove protective cap from the h ead of the shank . DO NOT THRO W AWAY.

Tu rn off HOT and COLD supply li nes before beg inning insta llation.

Uns crew the Lock Nut off of the shank and m ove d own the Spout Mou nting Hardware a few inc hes (Figure A).

Apply a ring of silicone caulking around deck hole ( Figure A). DO NOT USE PLU MBER’S PUTTY, WHICH CAN DAMAGE FINISH.

Slip th e remaining Shank Assembly up an d through the d eck hole fro m und er neath. While holding t he assembly up and off of the silicone, thr ead the lock nut back on

to th e shank until it botto ms out (Figure A).

NOTE: Find the “front here” mark, whic h is marked on the base of the

graphic in Figure B).

IMP ORTANT: Set the sha nk down onto the ring of silicone with th e “front here” mark facing frontward. Use a long straight- edge to al ign the front of the lock nut p arallel with t he deck edge. From under neat h, tig hten the spout mounting hardware until secure (see Fi gur e B).

Wipe away excess sili cone w ith paper tow el.

Fit th e protective cap back onto the head of the shank unti l tri m arrives.

NOTE: Hole size for t he spout, ha ndle trim, and hand held shower is a m inimum of 1-1/4” and a maximum of 1 -1/2”.
