Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you are in any doubt about it working normally, or if it is damaged in any way - switch o, withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable surface and should not be subjected to vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor, domestic use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well away from heat sources such as radiators or gas/ electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or product damage, do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects lled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the unit. Do not operate the unit with wet hands, near water or other liquid.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch it o at the mains immediately. Withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.

Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or re hazard due to overheating, ensure that curtains and other materials do not obstruct the ventilation vents.
• Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another conned space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains supply before connecting/ disconnecting other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket before a lightning storm.
Mains Cable
• Make sure the unit or the unit stand is not resting on top of the mains adapter cable, as the weight of the unit may damage the cable and create a safety hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances which may cause electromagnetic interference. If you do, it may adversely aect the operating performance of the unit, and cause a distorted picture or sound.
Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
• Never let anyone especially children push anything into the holes, slots or any other openings in the case - this could result in a fatal electric shock.

To prevent electric shock hazard, do not connect to mains power supply while grille is removed.
Service
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove screws. The unit does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all maintenance work to qualied personnel.
• Do not open any xed covers as this may expose dangerous voltages.
Maintenance
• Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the power supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may damage the unit’s surface.
• Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

Turn clockwise/anticlockwise to increase/decrease volume.

Turn clockwise/anticlockwise to increase/decrease treble level.
10. / UNPAIR Button
• Press to play/pause/resume playback in BLUETOOTH and USB mode.
• Press to connect the last paired Bluetooth® device to the unit in
BLUETOOTH mode.
• Press and hold to disconnect the paired Bluetooth® device from the unit in BLUETOOTH mode.
11. Button
• Press to skip forwards to the next track in BLUETOOTH and USB mode.
• Press and hold to skip backwards to the previous track in BLUETOOTH and USB mode.
• While using the built-in music player of smartphone (e.g. iPhone, Samsung) in BLUETOOTH mode, press and hold for about 2 seconds to skip backwards to the beginning of the current track.
12. STANDBY/SOURCE Button
• In STANDBY mode, press to switch on the unit.
• In ON mode, press to switch the unit between BLUETOOTH/AUX IN/USB mode.
• Press and hold to switch the unit back to STANDBY mode.

Connections
Using the AUX IN Connection
Use a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo audio cable to connect an auxiliary equipment to the main unit’s AUX IN socket.
Auxiliary Equipment
3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo audio cable (included)
Use a 3.5 mm to RCA stereo audio cable (not included) to connect an auxiliary equipment to the main unit’s AUX IN socket.

Connecting to the Mains Supply
• This unit is designed to operate with an AC power supply.
• Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit. Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the mains plug to a mains socket. Make sure the mains plug is fully inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.
Auxiliary Equipment

• To switch the unit o completely, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket.
Ensure all connections are connected before connecting to the mains power socket.

General Operation
Powering ON/OFF
When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in standby mode. The STANDBY indicator will light up red.
• Press the STANDBY/SOURCE to switch on the unit.
• Press and hold the STANDBY/SOURCE button to switch the unit back to standby mode.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit o
completely.
Selecting Modes
Press STANDBY/SOURCE button repeatedly on the unit to switch between BLUETOOTH, AUX IN and USB mode.
• The eco-friendly technology saves power by switching the device to standby mode when there is no input signal (or weak input signal) in BLUETOOTH / AUX IN / USB mode for over 15 minutes.
• Please turn the unit o completely to save energy when not in use.
Adjusting the Bass
Turn the BASS dial to increase/decrease bass level.
Adjusting the TREBLE
Turn the TREBLE dial to increase/decrease treble level.
Adjusting the Volume
Turn the VOLUME dial clockwise/anticlockwise to adjust the volume.

Bluetooth® Operation
The unit has a Bluetooth® function that can receive a signal within 8 metres.
Pairing the unit with a Bluetooth® device to listen to music:
1. Press STANDBY/SOURCE button repeatedly to select BLUETOOTH mode. The BLUETOOTH indicator will ash in blue and the system has entered paring mode.
2. Activate your Bluetooth® device and select the search mode.
3. “SCBTS17” will appear on your Bluetooth® device.
4. Select SCBTS17” and enter “0000” for the password if necessary.
5. The BLUETOOTH indicator will light up blue when connection successful.
6. To disconnect the Bluetooth® function, switch to another function on the unit or disable the function from your Bluetooth® device.
• If the signal strength is weak, your Bluetooth® receiver may disconnect, but it will re-enter pairing mode automatically.
• Press and hold with the unit. The unit will enter pairing mode. The BLUETOOTH indicator will ash in blue. Press the / UNPAIR button to connect the last paired device to the unit.
• Compatibility with all Bluetooth® devices is not guaranteed.

AUX IN Operation
1. Connect to another audio device using the AUX IN socket via a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo audio cable (not included).
2. Press the STANDBY/SOURCE button to select AUX IN mode.
3. Turn the VOLUME dial to adjust the volume to your desired level.
4. In AUX IN mode, operate your audio device directly for playback features.
USB Operation
1. Insert the USB device into the 5V 1A USB Charging Socket.
2. After the USB device is detected, the unit will automatically switch into USB mode and then start playback.
3. Operate the unit for the playback.
• The unit can only play MP3 le format in USB operation.
• This unit supports USB versions 1.1 and 2.0.
• The unit can support USB devices with up to 32GB of memory.
• The unit may not be compatible with all USB devices and memory cards, this is
not an indication of a problem with the unit.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.
Hints and Tips
If a problem occurs, it may often be due to something very minor. The following table contains various tips:

If any functional abnormality is encountered, unplug the unit from the mains socket and reconnect it again.
• The unit may freeze up during use. Switch the unit off and then on again at the mains socket to reset the unit.
• Check the file format.
• Only MP3 file formats are supported.
• Make sure the allowable charging current of the mobile
device is compatible with the unit’s charging current (1000 mA or 1 A). Otherwise, use the mobile device’s own charging adapter for charging.
• Make sure that the unit is in USB mode.
• Ensure the Bluetooth® function is activated on your
Bluetooth® device.
