We recommend that you spend some time reading this instruction manual in order
that you fully understand all the operational features oered. You will also nd
some hints and tips to help you resolve any issues.
Read all the safety instructions carefully before use and keep this instruction
manual for future reference.
Unpacking
Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so
according to local regulations.

Remote Control Operation Range
• The remote control sensor on the front unit is
sensitive to the remote control’s commands up
to a maximum of 5 metres away and within a
maximum of a 60° arc.
• Please note that the operating distance may vary
depending on the brightness of the room.

Battery Replacement for the Remote Control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the direction
of the arrow.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old battery.
3. Replace with a new battery (CR2025).
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.

Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly in the battery compartment. Normally the battery’s positive
polarity (+) will face up.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery is secure in the remote control. Seek
medical advice if you believe a battery cell has been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
• If you are nding it dicult to remove the battery, use a paperclip to slide the battery tab.
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as corrosion or battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and/or property
damage, and/or re.

Connecting to the Mains Supply
Mains Power
• This unit is designed to operate with an AC 230V
~50Hz power supply.
• Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the
other end of the mains cable to the AC IN Socket at
the rear of the unit then connect to the mains socket.
Make sure the mains adapter is rmly inserted into
the mains socket. The unit is now connected and
ready to use.
• To switch the unit o completely, switch it o at the
mains socket.
• If the unit is idle for more than 4 hours, the unit will switch o.
• The power indicator will ash for 10 minutes before the unit switches o.
Press any button to extend the idling time.
Connecting to a TV
You can connect your unit to a TV to playback video from your iPhone / iPod. The video will
be displayed on the TV and the sound will play through your unit.
• Connect your unit to your TV as shown.
• Press the Video ON/OFF button to select video mode. You may have to change your TV’s
video input source to view the video (your TV’s instruction manual should tell you how to
do this).

Connecting to an Auxiliary Device

1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5mm AUX IN cable (not included) to
connect your audio device through the AUX IN socket at the rear of the unit.

2. Connect to the mains socket.
3. Press the AUX button to select AUX mode.
4. Operate your audio device as normal, however, you can use the unit to control
the volume.
iPhone / iPod Operation
Inserting the iPhone / iPod
1. Carefully slot your iPhone / iPod onto the iPod / iPhone dock.
2. If the iPhone / iPod is connected, the unit will take around 10 seconds to identify the
iPhone / iPod.
3. Once the iPhone / iPod is connected the unit will begin to play the last played track
from the iPhone / iPod.
Charging your iPhone / iPod
1. Your iPhone / iPod has an internal non-removable battery, the battery may need to be
charged if it has not been used for a while.
2. You can automatically charge the iPhone / iPod through the unit when it is docked.
• The unit cannot show any music information of your iPhone / iPod. Please view the music information
from your iPhone / iPod display.
• To avoid damaging your iPhone / iPod or the unit, please take care when inserting and removing your
iPhone / iPod from the dock.
• To control menu operation of iPhone series, iPod touch series and iPod nano 6th generation, you need
to enter the music menu on your iPhone / iPod rst.
• This manual provides the basic instructions of menu navigation on iPhone / iPod. For advance
operations, please refer to instruction accompanied with your iPhone / iPod.
• Your unit is compatible with iPod touch 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations (8GB and above). iPod
classic (8GB and above). iPod nano 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generations (8GB and above). iPhone, iPhone
3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S (8GB and above).

APPS Operation with iPhone
The unit can be operated via an App on an iPhone. The App can be downloaded from the
App Store. The App gives you more functions to use with your unit,
Downloading the App (Pad Clock)
When you insert your iPhone into the dock for the rst time a prompt will pop up on your
iPhone. Select ‘YES’ to go to the App Store and download the App. This App will give you
extra features such as:
• Alarm function
• Current weather
• Volume control
• Bass control
• TV OUTPUT setting

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.
* Please note that this unit may not be compatible with all iPhones / iPods.

Hints and Tips
If a problem does occur, it may often be due to something very minor. The following table
contains various tips.

• Standby mode may be activated; press the STANDBY button on
the remote control again.
• Make sure the iPhone / iPod is switched on.
• Vibrations may have caused the iPhone / iPod to come loose
from the docking station.
• Check no audio cable is plugged in the AUX IN socket.
• Insert new batteries.
• Aim remote directly towards the remote sensor.
• Stay within 5m of the unit.
• Remove objects between the remote control and the sensor.
• Sound may be muted. Press Mute or Volume +.
• An audio cable may be plugged into the AUX IN socket. Remove
the cable.

Skifte batteriet i fjernkontrollen
Fjernkontrollen krever et 3 V litiumbatteri av typen CR2025.
1. Skyv og hold batteriets låseik i pilens retning.
2. Trekk ut batteriholderen og ern det gamle batteriet.
3. Erstatt med et nytt batteri (CR2025).
4. Skyv batteriholderen tilbake på plass i ernkontrollen.

Behandle batteriet
• Skjødesløs eller feil bruk av batterier kan føre til korrosjon eller batterilekkasje, noe som
kan føre til personskade, brann eller annen skade på eiendom.
• Sett batteriet riktig inn i batterirommet. Normalt vender batteriets positive pol (+) opp.
• Når batteriet er tomt, vil ikke ernkontrollen fungere.
• Bruk kun batteritypen som angis i denne håndboken.
• Ikke kast det brukte batteriet som husholdningsavfall. Kast det i henhold til lokale
bestemmelser.
• Små knappebatterier, f.eks. det som brukes i denne ernkontrollen, kan lett svelges av
små barn, noe som er farlig. Hold løse knappebatterier borte fra små barn og påse at
batteridekslet sitter godt fast i ernkontrollen. Ta kontakt med lege hvis du tror at et
knappebatteri er blitt svelget.
Håndtere ernkontrollen
• Hvis du nner det vanskelig å erne batteriet, kan du bruke en binders til å skyve
batteriiken.
• Ikke la ernkontrollen falle ned.

Koble til stikkontakten
Strøm fra stikkontakt
• Denne enheten er konstruert for bruk med 230 V
vekselstrøm ved 50 Hz.
• Strekk ut strømledningen i hele sin lengde.
Sett den ene enden av strømledningen inn i
vekselstrømkontakten på baksiden av enheten
og koble deretter til stikkontakten. Kontroller at
strømadapteren er satt godt inn i stikkontakten.
Enheten er nå tilkoblet og klar til bruk.
• For å slå av enheten helt, slår den du den av ved
stikkontakten.
• Hvis enheten står ubrukt i over 4 timer, slås enheten av.
• Strømindikatoren blinker i 1 minutter før enheten slås av.
Trykk på en knapp for å forlenge ventetiden.
Koble til en TV
Du kan koble enheten til en TV for å spille av videoen din fra iPhone/iPod. Videoen vises på
TV-en og lyden spilles gjennom enheten din.
• Koble enheten din til TV-en som vist.
• Trykk på Video PÅ/AV-knappen for å velge videomodus. Du kan måtte endre TV-ens
videoinngangskilde for å se videoen (TV-ens bruksanvisning bør fortelle deg hvordan du
gjør dette).
