2.1Before Connecting
Check the following before you connect this product with other devices.
Devices that can be connected to this product include PCs, camcorders, speakers, set top boxes and
DVD/Blu-ray Disc players.
2.1.1Pre-connection Checkpoints
zBefore connecting a source device, read the user manual provided with it. The number and locations
of ports on source devices may differ from device to device.
zDo not connect the power cable until all connections are completed. Connecting the power cable
during connection may damage the product.
zConnect the sound ports correctly: left = white and right = red.
zCheck the types of ports at the back of the product you want to connect.

zAudio will not be enabled if the product is connected to a video device using an HDMI-DVI cable.
To resolve this, additionally connect an audio cable to the audio ports on the product and video
device.

DVI OUT
(LOOPOUT)
AUDIO OUT
Connecting and Using a Source Device
Using an HDMI cable or HDMI to DVI Cable (up to 1080p)
zFor better picture and audio quality, connect to a digital device using an HDMI cable.
zAn HDMI cable supports digital video and audio signals, and does not require an audio cable.
To connect the TV to a digital device that does not support HDMI output, use an HDMI/DVI and
audio cables.
zThe picture may not display normally (if at all) or the audio may not work if an external device that
uses an older version of HDMI mode is connected to the TV. If such a problem occurs, ask the
manufacturer of the external device about the HDMI version and, if out of date, request an upgrade.
zBe sure to use an HDMI cable with a thickness of 14 mm or less.
zBe sure to purchase a certified HDMI cable. Otherwise, the picture may not display or a connection
error may occur.
zA basic high-speed HDMI cable or one with ethernet is recommended. This product does not
support the ethernet function via HDMI.
2.3.5Connecting an External Monitor
zThe Loopout function can be used to duplicate the screen of the primary display. Connect [DVI
OUT] on the primary display to [DVI IN] or [HDMI] on another display.
zUp to HD resolution can be supported. Compatible input sources include DVI IN, DP IN and HDMI
IN. However, up to 10 monitors can be connected in Full HD mode depending on the type of cable
or signal equipment. Multiple monitors that are daisy-chained have a limit to the connectable
monitors.
zThe [DVI OUT] port on this product does not support the HDCP input.
zIf the stereo cable is connected to the [AUDIO OUT] port on the primary monitor, the sound from
the primary monitor will be muted.
