First steps to operating your phone
SIM card information
When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscription details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.

Offline mode
You can switch the phone to Offline mode, in which the phone functions requiring network connections are deactivated. This mode is helpful when you want to use your phone in a place where you are not allowed to use mobile devices, such as in an airplane or at a hospital.

ABC, T9, Number, and Symbol modes
You can enter text in some features, such as Messages, Phonebook, or Calendar, using ABC mode, T9 mode, Number mode, and Symbol mode.
Changing the text input mode
• Press and hold [ ] to switch between T9 mode ( ) and ABC mode ( ). Depending on your country, you may also be able to access an input mode for your specific language.
• Press [ ] to change case or switch to Number mode ( ).

Press the appropriate key until the character you want appears on the display.
To enter the same letter twice or to enter a different letter on the same key, wait for the cursor to move to the right automatically or press [Right]. Then, enter the next letter.

Using T9 mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to enter any character using single keystrokes.
Entering a word in T9 mode

T9 predicts the word you are typing, and it may change with each key that you press.

Making a call from Phonebook
Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook.
You can also use the speed dialling feature to assign your most frequently dialled numbers to specific number keys.
You can quickly dial a number from the SIM card using its location number assigned when stored.

Bluetooth technology allows free wireless connections between all Bluetooth-compliant devices within a range of 10 meters. Since the devices communicate using radio waves, they do not need to be in the line of sight to each other.

Memory card
Use this menu to access the files stored on a memory card. This menu is only available when you insert a memory card into the phone.
Memory status
Use this menu to view memory information for media items in the phone’s memory or on a memory card. For the phone’s memory, press [Left] or [Right] to view the memory status by size or number of items.
You can also access a file folder by selecting it from this menu.
