INSTALLATION MANUAL – SBP-B-100x Hanging Mount and Gang Box Adapters

Unpacking

Unpack carefully. This is mechanical equipment and should be handled with care. If an item appears to have been damaged in shipment, replace it properly in its carton and notify the shipper. If any items are missing, notify Broadsight Systems, Inc. The shipping carton is the safest container in which the unit may be transported. Save it for possible future use.

Service

If the unit ever needs repair service, the customer should contact Broadsight Systems, Inc. for a return materials authorization (RMA) and shipping instructions.

Care and Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance to keep the unit dust free.

Model Designation

SBP-B-100HM Hanging Mount Cap Kit SBP-B-100P Single Gang Box Converter Plate

Description

The Hanging Mount Cap Kit allows a dome camera to be attached to the end of a pipe or mount. It accepts ¾”, 1”, or 1-1/2” NPT threads using supplied adapters. Removing the cap allows the camera to be attached to a ¼-20 stud or screw using a supplied adapter. The Singe Gang Box Converter Plate allows the camera to be installed onto a standard single gang box.

Certification

Camera installation should be performed by a licensed professional and conform to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes.

Installation - Hanging Mount Cap Kit

1.Remove cover from dome camera using L-wrench supplied with camera. Feed camera cable through appropriate hole in Plate.

2.Select appropriate Adapter fitting depending on type of pipe used. The Cap has 1” threads. Adapters are included for ¾” or

1-1/2” pipes (see Figure 2). Attach Cap to pipe. Feed camera cable through Cap and Adapter (optional) If mounting to ¼-20 screw, discard Cap and use ¼-20 Adapter (see Figure 4, skip to Step 4).

3.Make network cable connection in Cap or pipe and feed excess cable into Cap or pipe. Attach Plate to Cap using flat head screws.

4.See Figure 1. Attach Camera Base to Plate by installing Pan Head screws through the Mounting Holes provided

5.Re-attach Camera Cover using L-wrench supplied with camera.

Installation - Single Gang Box Converter Plate

1.Remove cover from dome camera using L-wrench supplied with camera. Feed camera cable through appropriate hole in Plate.

2.Remove desired knockout from Gang Box. Feed camera cable through knockout, or bring external cable into gang box and make camera connection.

3.Use screws from Gang Box kit to attach Plate to Gang Box. Feed excess cable into Gang Box.

4.Attach Camera Base to Plate by installing Pan Head screws through Mounting Holes provided (see Figure 1).

5.Reattach Camera Cover using L-wrench supplied with camera.
