Overview

The "Hanging Mount Adaptor (SADT-100HM)" is used to install the "SmartDome
Camera"(SMARTDOME CAMERA, SCC-C6433/C6435) in indoor ceilings.

Notice

• Ensure that you select an installation spot that can withstand more than 4 times
(approx. 11.2 kg) of the total weight of the Hanginh Mount Adaptor and SMARTDOME Camera.

• You can use the Hanging Mount Adaptor by connecting it to a processed pipe with a 1.5"NPT screw
thread. You can also use it by attaching it to the Ceiling Mount Adaptor (SADT-100CM, unbundled)

Installation

1. Select an installation spot which can withstand more than 4 times (approx. 11.2 kg) of the total

product weight.

2. See the Installation guide of the SMARTDOME CAMERA to arrange the external power cable, the

BNC cable and the communications cable, etc for installation.

3. Prepare the camera adapter of the CAMERA to install.

Remove the bracket sealing component from the camera adaptor.

4. Remove the Connectors at the end of the Camera Adaptor.

In the next step, peel off the coating of the cable and connect it to the external cable using soldering.
(See the wiring diagram of the installation guide for the Camera to connect the cables.)
Repeat the above steps to connect all of the 4 Connectors to the appropriate external cables.

5. As in the <Figure 1> below, pull out the external cables in connection with the camera through the

pipe into which the Hanging Mount Adaptor is installed.
Refer to <Figure 2> and wrap the screw part of the Pipe with the Teflon Tape. In the next step, insert
the Cables through the center of the Hanging Mount Adator and pull them out to the opposite side.
Fix the Hanging Mount Adaptor to the end of the processed Pipe with a 1.5"NPT screw thread by
turning it clockwise, as described in the <Figure 3>.

6. Prepare the Camera Adaptor for the applicable camera.

Refer to the installation guide for the applicable camera and configure the initial settings of the Camera
Adaptor.

In the next step, fasten the connector of the external cable (see step 4 above) with the Connectors of
the Camera Adaptor. In addition, connect the Camera Adaptor of the BNC Jack of the external cable
to the BNC Jack of the Camera Adaptor.

7. Insert the connected cables through the Hanging Mount Adaptor into the Piple. Secure the Camera

Adaptor to the Hanging Mount Adaptor in such way that you fit the 4 Screws (attached to the Hanging
Mount Adaptort) into the 4 corresponding holes of the Camera Adaptor before fixing them.

Ensure that place the Camera Adaptor behind the camera so that Template A of the Camera Adaptor can
be hidden. Furthermore, pay special attention so that the insulated coating of the cable should be kept
intact while the insertion.

8. Prepare the Camera Body for installation.

Put up the Safet y Wire, attached to the camera, on the Safety Hook.

CAUTION

To avoid accidental fall and consequent damage to the camera during installation or detachment,
make sure the Safety Wire is secured to the hook.

9. Align the Guide 1 of the Camera with the Guide 2 of the Camera Adaptor and insert the 3 Guides

of the Camera into the corresponding Guide Holes of the Camera Adaptor. Then, turn the camera
clockwise by 10 degrees.

When done, just make sure that the part "B" is moved from position 1 to 2.

10. Use the screws, attached to the Camera, to firmly fix the Camera with the

Camera Adaptor.
Once you have removed the camera from the Camera Adaptor, loosen the screw, turn the camera counter
clockwise by about 10 degrees, and then pull it down.

CAUTION

If you are not tightening up the screw, the Camera can be loose from the Camera Adaptor, causing
safety accidents or damage to the Camera. So make sure you tighten up the Screws.
