GETTING READY TO INSTALL THE REFRIGERATOR

Congratulations on your purchase of the Samsung French Door Refrigerator.

We hope you enjoy the state-of-art features and efficiencies that this new appliance offers.

Selecting the best location for the refrigerator , A location with easy access to the water supply. , A location without direct exposure to sunlight.

, A location with a leveled floor. , A location with enough space for the refrigerator doors to

open easily.

, Allow sufficient space to the right, left, back and top for air circulation.

If the Refrigerator does not have enough space, the internal cooling

system may not work properly.

, Please ensure that appliance can be moved freely in the event of

maintenance & service.

If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections.

When you install the refrigerator next to a fixed wall, you need a minimum clearance is 3 3A" (95mm) between the

refrigerator and wall to allow the door to swing open. First thing! Make sure that you can easily move your refrigerator to its final location by measuring doorways

(both width and height), thresholds, ceilings, stairways, etc.

surface of hard material that is the same height as the rest of the

flooring. This surface should be strong enough to support a fully

loaded refrigerator, or approximately 3281bs (150kg). To protect the

finish of the flooring, cut a large section of the cardboard carton and

place it under the refrigerator where you are working. When moving a refrigerator, you need to pull and push it straight forwards or back. Do not wiggle it from side to side.

REMOVING THE REFRIGERATOR DOORS

Some installations require door removal to transport the refrigerator to its final location. Do not remove the door/drawer if you don't need to. If you do not need to remove the refrigerator doors, go to adjusting the level. If you need to remove the doors, continue below. Before removing the door/drawer make

sure you read following items: A Disconnect power to the refrigerator before removing the door or drawer.

the 3 screws holding down the top table (_) and turn it over with several wires connected.

connector (_}) on left side door. Remove the tube (_) with pressing the dark gray

color part (1_}) of the water line coupler.

Remove the ground screw (_) attached to the upper left and right door hinges with a philips screwdriver (+).

Remove the screw (1_) attached to the lower left and right door hinges with a philips screwdriver (+).

Remove the 2 hex head bolts (_) attached to the lower left

and right door hinges with an allen wrench (3/16").

DISASSEMBLE THE FREEZER DRAWER

1. Take out the upper drawer by lifting it up.

2. Slightly pull the left support guard (1_) to the left, allowing the pizza pocket ((_) just enough room to slip off the hook. Then pull the pizza pocket (_) forward.

3. Lift up the bottom of the support guard ((_) and pull it inward to remove it.

Do it again, for right side.

Be careful not to break the parts.

CAUTION

4. Take out the lower basket ((_) by lifting the basket up from the rail system.

5. Remove 4 hex head bolts from both sides with a socket wrench (10mm).

6. Lift up the freezer door from the rails.

Z_ Putting too much food into the freezer drawers can

....... prevent the freezer from closing completely and can

cause frost build-up.

REATTACHING THE REFRIGERATOR DOORS

Assemble the refrigerator doors

Reattach the lower left and right door hinges (iT}). With

a Philips head screwdriver, insert the screw (1_) into the lower left and right door hinges, and then tighten.

Insert the 2 hex head bolts (1_) into the lower left and right door hinges, and then tighten with an allen wrench (3/16").

. Place the hole in the bottom of the door over the door

hinge (1_).

Be careful not to miss the hinge cap because it can

be easily taken off.

Insert the upper hinges (_) into the holes at the top

of the doors. Insert the 3 hex head bolts ([_) into the upper left and right door hinges, and then tighten with a

socket wrench (10mm). Insert the ground screw

(_) into the upper left and right door hinges, and then

tighten with a philips screwdriver (+).

REATTACHING THE REFRIGERATOR DOORS

4. Connect the water line ((_) and then insert a clip on the coupler with pulling tube. Connect the one

connector ((_) on left side door, the other connector (1_) on right side door and two connectors (1_}) at each side of the top cap.

[_ The clip is enveloped inside of the top cap.

Position the top table (l_) in place. Insert the 3 screws into the top table, and tighten with a philips

screw driver (+). Open the door, reinsert the cap top

table ((_) and close the doors.

When reattaching the top table, make sure that the wires are not pressed or damaged by the hinge cover.

_ fter assembling, close the door and check to see

whether the door has gaps between gaskets or is tilted. If they are, please refer to "Adjusting the level" on page 15.

ASSEMBLE THE FREEZER DRAWER

1. Pull out the rails fully on each side of the cabinet.

2. Attach the freezer door front onto the open slots on the sides.

3. Tighten 4 hex head bolts completely with a socket wrench(10mm).

4. Insert the lower basket ([_) into the rail system.

5. Hook the ends of the tilting pocket ((_) onto the brackets ((_) and push down until they are locked into place.

[_ Remove 2 pieces of tape ([_) attached to the side of the drawer bin.

Reattach the tape in the same position when moving the refrigerator to

prevent scratching the drawer bin.

ADJUSTING THE LEVEL

Make sure the refrigerator is level so that you can make final adjustments. Use a level to test if the refigerator is level both side to side and back to front. If the refrigerator is not level, it will not be possible to get the doors perfectly even, which may cause moisture condensation and increased energy bills. Below is an example of how

to level the refrigerator if the left side of the refrigerator is lower than the right side.

How to adjust the level

1. Open the freezer drawer and remove the lower basket. (See to page 11)

2. Remove the two screws (@) attached to the cover leg front (1_) with a Philips screwdriver(+).

3. Remove the cover leg front (1_) by lifting the bottom part of the cover leg front up and pulling it out.

4. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver (-) into a notch on the left control lever, and turn it count clockwise to level the refrigerator. (You turn the lever clockwise to lower the refrigerator and counterclockwise to raise it.)

Z_ Both control levers must be touching the floor to avoid possible personal injury or property damage because of

....... tipping.

If the right side is lower, perform the same procedure, but with the right control lever. It is difficult to remove the cover leg front from the refrigerator, so we do not recommend making small adjustments

with the control lever. Instead, refer to the next page for the best way to make minor adjustments to the doors.

MAKING MINOR ADJUSTMENTS BETWEEN DOORS

Remember, a leveled refrigerator is necessary for getting the doors perfectly even. If you need help, review the previous section on leveling the refrigerator.

_The left door is fixed. To make minor adjustments between doors, adjust only the right door.

1. Pull out the freezer drawer ((_) to expose the lower hinge (_).

2. Insert the supplied allen wrench (3/16") (_) into the shaft (_) of the lower hinge.

3. Please adjust the height by turning the hex wrench ((_) clockwise ( ) or counter-clockwise ( ).

_When you turn the hex wrench counter-clockwise( ), the door will move up.

After adjusting the doors, please insert the supplied fastener ((_) using a pliers ((_) in the gap between the hinge-grommet (_}) and the lower hinge (_)). The number of fastener you'll need to insert depends

on the gap.

_2 fastener are enclosed with the refrigerator. The thickness of each fastener is 0.04".

ADJUSTING THE FREEZER DRAWER LEVEL

Adjustment part

1. Locate the height-adjuster ((1}) in the freezer drawer. Unscrew the 8 Phillips screws (l_) slightly to loosen the door.

3. Find the best level to align the door slope.

Example) The slope is about 0.08inch (2mm) as shown below.

- Rotate the height adjuster to -2.0 to reduce the door slope.

INSTALLING A WATER LINE KIT

To help promote better health, the water filter removes unwanted particles from your water. However, it does not sterilize or destroy microorganisms. You may need to purchase a water purifying system to do that.

For the ice maker to operate properly, a water pressure of 20-125 psi is required.

Within this water pressure range, a 170 cc (5.75 oz.) cup fills in about 10 seconds.

If the refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20psi), you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.

Water line installation kits are available at extra cost from your dealer. We recommend using a water line

installation kit that contains copper tubing and 1/4,,compression nut.

Connecting to the water supply line

1. First, shut off the main water supply.

2. Locate the nearest cold water drinking line and install the pipe clamp and shut off valve.

Household water supply line

1. Connect the household water line to the assembled compression fitting.

- If you are using copper tubing, slip the compression nut ® (not supplied) and ferrule (not supplied) on

copper tubing (not supplied) as shown.

- If you are using plastic tubing @, insert the molded end (Bulb) of the plastic tubing @into the compression fitting.

A Do not use without the molded end (Bulb) of the plastic tubing ®.

CAUTION

2. Tighten the compression nut ® onto the compression fitting. Do not over-tighten the compression nut ®.

3. Turn the water on and check for any leakage. If you see water drops or leakage in the connection areas, turn off the main water supply. Check the connections, and tighten more if necessary.

4. Let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period of time, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the ice maker makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line.

5. Check again for leaks. If you see water drops or leakage in the connection area, turn off the main water supply. Check the connections, and tighten more if necessary.

Only connect the water line to a drinkable water source. If you have to repair or disassemble the water line, cut off 1/4" of the plastic tubing to make sure you get a snug,

leak-free connection.

COMPLETING THE SET UP

Now that you have your new refrigerator installed in place, you are ready to set up and enjoy the features and functions of the appliance. By completing the following steps, your refrigerator should be fully

operational.

1. Make sure your refrigerator is in an appropriate location with reasonable clearance between it and the

wall. Refer to installation instructions in this manual.

2. Once the refrigerator is plugged in, make sure the interior light comes on when you open the doors.

3. Set the Temperature control to the coldest temperature and wait for an hour. The freezer will get slightly chilled and the motor will run smoothly.

Reset the refrigerator and freezer to the temperatures you want.

4. After you plug the refrigerator in, it will take a few hours to reach the appropriate temperature. You can store food and drinks in the refrigerator after the temperature is sufficiently cool.

If condensation or water drops appears on both sides of fridge door's central part, turn the Energy

Saver mode off after removing the condensation. (See the explanation on Energy Saver button in the USING THE CONTROL PANEL.)

Ice off Button Press the Ice Off button (_) if you don't want to make more ice. The icon (_) lights up and the Ice-Maker

stops making ice.

- There is enough ice in the ice bucket.

- You want to save on water and energy.

- Water is not being supplied to refrigerator. If the ice maker function is ON, and the water line is not connected, you will hear a water valve

If you want to fill the ice cube bucket to maximum capacity after installation, follow these steps:

1. After the refrigerator turns on for the first time, check the display to see whether the Ice Off light is ON or OFR If the Ice Off light is ON, press the Ice Off button.

2. Allow your refrigerator to operate and cool down for 24 hours (or 1 full day). Waiting 24hours will allow your ice maker to cool properly.

3. After 24 hours or one full day, press the Ice Off button again.

CAUTION

If ice doesn't come out, press the test button located on the right side of ice maker.

Do not press the test button continuously when the tray is filled with ice or water. Water may overflow or the ice may become jammed.

Use only the ice maker provided with the refrigerator.

The water supply to this refrigerator must be installed/connected

by a suitably qualified person and connected to a potable water supply only. To operate the ice maker properly, water pressure of 20-125psi is

required.

The Filter light ( E_ ) lets you know when it is time to change your water filter cartridge. When the filter indicator lights up red, it is time to change the filter. Changing the filter on time provides you

with the freshest, cleanest water from your refrigerator. Typically, you need to change the filter about every 6 months.

• The Filter Indicator will be Blue when you purchase the new refrigerator.

• The Filter Indicator will be Pink after the filter has filtered 270 gallons of water or 5 months.

• The Filter Indicator will be Red after the filter has filtered 300 gallons of water or 6 months.

(_ Depending on the condition of your water and region, the amount of time a filter lasts can vary.

In some areas, you may need to change the fileter every two months.

How to change the water filter

1. Turn the water filter ((1}) about 1/4 turn, counter-clockwise.

2. Pull the water filter ((_) from the case filter (_).

To change the water filter more easily, shut off the water supply valve.

Sometimes, it is hard to disassemble the water filter because impurities in the water can cause it to stick. If this occurs, grip the

water filter firmly and pull it hard. When you pull the water filter, a little of water can leak from the

filter or opening. This is normal. To minimize water leaks, keep the filter cartridge horizontal when you pull it. To prevent overflow, empty the water filter tray and dry around the case filter ([_).

3. Insert the new filter into the case filter (_).

4. Push the filter, and then turn it clockwise until it locks.

- If you have trouble inserting the water filter becasue of high water

pressure, shut off the water supply valve.

- The locked symbol should be lined up with the indicator line.

5. Press the "Fridge" and "Power Cool" button simultaneously for about 3 seconds to reset the water filter. The indicator color (E_) changes to blue from red.

6. If you turned off the water supply, turn it back on.

Designed to be crack-resistant, the shelves can be used to store all

types of food and drinks. Circular marks on the glass surface are a

normal phenomenon and can usually be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Use to preserve the freshness of your stored vegetables and fruits.

These drawers can control the level of humidity for items that must

retain moisture. Keep vegetables and fruit separate when posible.

Use for large party trays, dell items, pizzas, beverages or miscellaneous items.

Do not place any large articles of food under the lamp in the fridge. An air sensor is located near the

lamp and if the sensor is blocked, your fridge may become too cold. Please place vegetables and fruit in the vegetable and fruit drawers to avoid freezing them. Ifthe food in your fridge becomes frozen, please set the temperature higher.

Best used to store meats or dry foods. Stored food should be placed in a container or wrapped securely using foil or other

suitable wrapping materials.

USING THE COOL SELECT PANTRY PLus

The Cool Select Pantry PLUS is a full-width drawer with an adjustable temperature control. You can use the Pantry

for large party trays, deli items, pizzas, beverages, or

miscellaneous items. There is a temperature sensor which can adjust the amount of cold air allowed into the Pantry. The control buttons are located on the right side of the Pantry.

o Press the Temp button repeatedly until the mode you want is lit. Each time you press the

Temp button, you select a different mode in this order : Fresh mode (38°F), Chilled mode (34°F), Deli mode (41 °F). Initially, the Fresh mode is set. The refrigerator will adjust the temperature in the Pantry to the temperature you selected automatically.

o The Pantry temperature may change depending on the number of items inside and where they are

located, the ambient temperature, and how often the door is opened.

To remove - Pull the drawer out to full extension. Tilt up the front of

the drawer and pull straight out.

To relocate - Insert the drawer into the frame rails and push back

into place.

The drawers need to be removed before the glass shelf above

To remove the pantry - Pull the pantry out to full

extension. Tilt up the front side of the Pantry and pull straight out.

To relocate the pantry - Push the rails to the back of the

refrigerator. Place the drawer onto the rails and slide the Pantry back until it is in place.

Pull the Pantry completely out to full extension and raise the front side of the divider to unhook it from the rear wall of the Pantry, then lift the

divider out.

Hook the back of the divider over the rear wall of the Pantry and push the divider down.

When the refrigerator door is only partially open, it will automatically close. But, the door will stay open when opened more than the auto close range and you must close it manually.

You can use the Tilting Pocket to store up to a 16" pizza if you place it as shown in the illustration.

REMOVING THE FREEZER ACCESSORIES

1. Tilting Pocket

To remove - Slightly pull the left support guard ( _ ) to the left, allowing the pizza pocket ((_) just

enough room to slip off the hook. Then pull the pizza pocket ((_)) forward. Lift up the bottom of the support guard (1_ ) and pull it inward to remove it.

To replace - Hook the ends of the tilting pocket ( 1_ ) onto the support guards ( _ ) and push down

until they are locked into place.

To remove - Open the drawer to full extension. Then remove the ice bucket ( [_ ) by lifting it up.

To relocate - Place the ice bucket into the drawer (_ ).

Super Extended Drawer

To remove - Pull the drawer out to full extension. Tilt up the rear of the drawer and lift straight out. To relocate - Place the drawer onto the rails ( (_)by tilting it up. Lower the drawer into place until it

is horizontal and slide the drawer ( _ )in.

4. Freezer Drawer

To remove the freezer drawer - Pull the freezer drawer out fully. Tilt up the rear of the bin and lift it

out to remove.

CLEANING THE REFRIGERATOR

Caring for your Samsung French Door Refrigerator prolongs the life of your appliance and helps keep the refrigerator from odor and germ.

Cleaning the Interior

Clean the inside walls and accessories with a mild detergent and then wipe dry with a soft cloth. You can remove the drawers and shelves for a more thorough cleaning. Just make sure to dry drawers and shelves before putting them back into place.

Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the control panel and digital display with a damp, clean, soft cloth. Do not spray water directly on the surface of the refrigerator.

The doors, handles and cabinet surfaces should be cleaned with a mild detergent and then wiped dry with a soft cloth. To keep your

appliance looking its best, polish the exterior once or twice a year.

Check that the power plug is properly connected. Check if the set temperature on the digital display is warmer than freezer or fridge

inner temperature.

If it is, set the refrigerator temperature colder. Is the refrigerator in direct sunlight or located near a heat source?

Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall, preventing proper ventilation?

Check if the set temperature on the digital display is too low. Try setting the refrigerator to a warmer temperature.

Is the temperature in the room too low?

Set the refrigerator warmer.

Did you store the food which is juicy inthe coldest part of the refrigerator?

Try moving those items to other shelves in fridge instead of keeping them in the colder areas or bins.

Check that the refrigerator is level and stable.

Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall, preventing proper ventilation?

Try moving the back of the refrigerator at least 2 inches from the wall. Was anything dropped behind or under the refrigerator?

A "ticking" sound is heard from inside the refrigerator. This is normal and occurs because various accessories are contracting or expanding as the result of changes

in the temperature of the refrigerator's interior.

If it sounds as if something is hitting something else inside the refrigerator, this is

normal. The sound is caused by ice cubes rubbing in the bucket periodically.

Some heat is normal as anti-condensators are installed in the vertical hinged section of the refrigerator to prevent condensation.

Is the refrigerator door ajar? Condensation can occur when you leave the door open

for a long time.

Did you wait for 12 hours after installation of the water supply line before making ice? Is the water line connected and the shut-off valve opened?

Did you manually stop the ice making function? Is the freezer temperature too warm? Try setting the freezer temperature lower.

This is normal. The bubbling comes from refrigerant circulating through the refrigerator.

Check for spoiled food.

Foods with strong odors (for example, fish) should be tightly covered.

Clean out your freezer periodically and throw away any spoiled or suspicious food.

Is the air vent blocked? Remove any obstructions so air can circulate freely.

Allow sufficient space between the stored foods for efficient air circulation.

Is the freezer drawer closed properly?

Is there an imbalance between the right and left parts of the door? Open and close the door smoothly 1-2 times. After you do this, the auto close system usually works properly again.

Try opening the door smoothly to avoid unbalancing the right part and the left part of the door.

Condensation or water drops may form if the humidity is too high while the refrigerator is operating.

If condensation or water drops appears on both sides of fridge door's central part, turn the Energy Saver mode off after removing the condensation.

(Samsung) and delivered new, in the original carton to the original consumer purchaser, is warranted by

Samsung against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a limited warranty period of:

This limited warranty begins on the original date of purchase, and is valid only on products purchased and

PREPARATIVOS PARA INSTALAR EL REFRIGERADOR

Selecci6n del mejor emplazamiento para el refrigerador

• Un emplazamiento de facil acceso para el suministro de agua.

• Un emplazamiento sin exposiciOn directa a la luz solar.

• Un emplazamiento que tenga el piso nivelado (o casi nivelado).

• Un emplazamiento con suficiente espacio para que las puertas del refrigerador puedan abrirse con facilidad.

• Deje espacio suficiente a laderecha, izquierda y por arriba para la circulaciOn del aire.

• Aseg0rese de que el aparato pueda moverse libremente para los trabajos de

mantenimiento y servicio

Si su refrigerador dispone de una m_quina de hielo, deje m_s espacio libre en la parte posterior para las conexiones de la toma de agua. DESMONTAJE DE LAS PUERTAS DEL REFRIGERADOR

Algunas instalaciones requieren el desmontaje de la puerta para poder transportar el refrigerador hasta su emplazamiento final. No desmonte la puerta/gaveta si no es necesario. Antes de desmontar la puerta/gaveta, asegOrese de haber Iddo los siguientes puntos.

\ Desconecte el suministro del refrigerador antes de desmontar la puerta o la gaveta.

4. Levante la puerta hacia arriba para extraerla.

Extraiga el pemo (_}) que se encuentra fijado alas bisagras inferiores izquierda y derecha de la puerta con un destomillador

Philips (+). Extraiga los 2 pemos hexagonales (_) que se encuentran fijados alas bisagras inferiores izquierda y derecha

de la puerta con una Ilave Allen (3/16"). Retire las bisagras inferiores izquierda y derecha de la puerta (_).

MONTAR LA GAVETA DE LA NEVERA

1. Extraiga el compartimento superior levant_ndolo.

2. Tire ligeramente de la protecciOn izquierda (1_}) hacia la izquierda, de modo que el alojamiento para pizzas (1_) deje

espacio suficiente para soltar el gancho. A continuaciOn, tire del alojamiento para pizzas ((_)).

3. Levante la parte inferior de la protecciOn del alojamiento (_)) y

tire hacia dentro para retirarlo.

Hazlo otra vez, por el lado derecho.

Tenga cuidado de no romper las piezas.

DESMONTAJE DE LAS PUERTAS DEL REFRIGERADOR

Montar las puertas del refrigerador

Vuelva a colocar las bisagras inferiores derecha e

izquierda ((T})de las puertas. Con un destornillador de cabeza Phillips, ponga un tornillo (_)en las bisagras inferiores izquierda y derecha de las puertas, y apriete.

Introduzca dos tornillos de cabeza hexagonal ((_)en las bisagras inferiores derecha e izquierda y apriete con

una Ilave allen de 3/16".

Haga coincidir el orificio de la base de la ouerta con la bisagra de la misma ((_).

AsegOrese de no perder la tapa de la bisagra que es

muy facil de quitar.

3. Inserte las bisagras superiores ((_)en los orificios de la parte superior de las puertas. Introduzca 3 tornillos de

cabeza hexagonal ([_)en las bisagras superiores derecha e izquierda y apriete con una Ilave allen de 10 mm. Introduzca

el tornillo (_) en las bisagras superiores derecha e izquierda y apriete con un destornillador phillips (+).

4. Conecte la tuber[a de agua ([_) y luego inserte una grapa en el acoplador tirando del tubo. Conecte el conector (1_) de la puerta izquierda, el otro conector

((_) de la puerta derecha y los dos conectores (1_) a cada lado de la tapa superior.

AI volver a montar el cuadro superior, asegOrese de que

la cubierta de la bisagra no comprima o dane los cables.

Tras el montaje, cierre la puerta y compruebe si la

puerta tiene holgura entre las juntas oesta inclinada. En caso afirmativo, consulte "Ajuste de niver' en la pagina 15.

MONTAR LA GAVETA DE LA NEVERA

1. Extraiga completamente los rafles de cada lado de la carcasa.

2. Fije la puerta de la nevera sobre las ranuras abiertas de los lados.

3. Apriete por completo los 4 pernos de cabeza hexagonal con la

ayuda de una Ilave tubular (10mm).

4. Introduzca la cesta inferior (_) dentro del sistema de deles.

5. Enganche los extremos del compartimento inclinable (_) dentro

de los soportes (1_) Y empuje hacia abajo hasta situarlo en su

lugar.

Retire los 2 pedazos de cinta (_) adheridos al lateral del compartimento

de la gaveta. Vuelva a adherir la cinta en la misma posicion al desplazar el refrigerador, para evitar aranazos en el compartimento de la gaveta.

AJUSTE DEL NIVEL

AsegOrese de que est6 nivelado para poder realizar los ajustes finales Utilice un nivel para comprobar que el frigor[fico este nivelado, de lado a lado, y de adelante hacia atr_s. Si el frigor[fico no esta nivelado, no ser_ posible que las puertas queden niveladas. Se muestra m_s adelante un ejemplo para la nivelaci6n del frigor[fico si el lado izquierdo est_ m_s bajo que lado derecho.

C6mo ajustar el nivel

1. Abra el cajOn del congelador y extraiga la cesta inferior. (Vea la p_gina 11)

2. Quite los dos tornillos (1_) adjunto a la parte delantera de la pierna cubierta (_) con un destornillador Philips (+).

3. Retire la parte delantera de la pierna cubierta ({_) por el levantamiento de la parte inferior de la parte

delantera de la pierna cubierta hacia arriba y tirando de 61hacia fuera.

4. Introduzca un screwdriver (-), piano dentro de una ranura del pie de nivelaci6n izquierdo y g[relo en sentido horatio u antihorario para nivelar la puerta izquierda. (Gire la palanca en la direcci6n de las agujas del reloj para bajar el frigorffico, o en la direcci6n contraria para subirlo).

Las dos palancas de control deben tocar el suelo para evitar posibles lesiones o danos materiales si el

........0,frigor[fico vuelca.

[_ Si el lado derecho esta mas bajo, realice el mismo procedimiento, pero con la palanca de control del lado derecho.

Es diffcil quitar la parte delantera de la pierna cubierta de el refrigerador, por Io que no recomendamos hacer pequenos ajustes con la palanca de control. En lugar de eso, examine la siguiente pagina para descubrir la mejor

forma de realizar ajustes menores en las puertas.

REALIZACION DE AJUSTES MENORES ENTRE PUERTAS

Recuerde que es necesario que el refrigerador est6 nivelado para Iograr que las puertas est6n igualadas de

forma uniforme. Si necesita ayuda, revise las secciones anteriores relativas a la nivelaci6n del refrigerador.

La puerta de la izquierda es fija. Para hacer ajustes de menor importancia entre las puertas, ajustar s61ola puerta de la derecha.

Retire el caj6n del congelador ([_) para exponer la bisagra inferior ({_}).

Introduzca la Ilave Allen (3/16") incluida (_}) dentro del eje (_}) de la bisagra inferior.

Ajuste la altura girando la Ilave Allen (_}) en sentido horario ( ) o antihorario ( ).

_AI girar la Ilave Allen en sentido antihorario( ), la puerta se desplazara hacia arriba.

Tras ajustar las puertas, introduzca el mecanismo de cierre incluido (_}) usando un alicate (_) en el

hueco entre el anillo de la bisagra ((_) y la bisagra inferior ({_}). El n0mero de mecanismos de cierre a insertar, depender_ del hueco.

Con el refrigerador se incluyen dos mecanismos de cierre. El grosor de cada anillo de sujeci6n es de 1mm (0,04 pulgadas).

AJUSTE DEL NIVEL DE LA GAVETA DE LA NEVERA

1. Localice el regulador de altura (_}) en la gaveta de la nevera. Desenrosque parcialmente los 8 pemos Philips (_}) para aflojar la puerta.

[NSTALAC[ON DEL KIT DE L[NEA DE AGUA

Para fomentar una mejor salud, el filtro de agua Samsung elimina partfculas no deseadas del agua. Sin embargo, no esteriliza ni destruye microorganismos. Para Iograr esto 01timo, debe adquirir un sistema purificador de agua.

Para producir hielo correctamente, se necesita una presi6n de agua del 20-125 psi. Con estos valores de presi6ni, un vaso de 170 cc (5.75 oz.) se Ilena en unos 10 segundos.

Si la zona de instalaci6n del refrigerador dispone de una presi6n baja de agua (por debajo de 20 psi), puede instalar una bomba auxiliar para compensar la falta de presi6n.

En su distribuidor encontrar_ disponibles kits de instalaci6n para la toma de agua por un coste adicional. Recomendamos usar un kit de instalaci6n de toma de agua que disponga de tubos de cobre y de tuercas

de compresi6n de 1/4".

Toma de agua de la vivienda

1. Conecte la tubeffa del agua corriente al acople de compresiOn ensamblado.

- Si est4 usando tubo de cobre, deslice la tuerca de compresiOn ® (no incluida) y la fOrula (no incluida) por el tubo de cobre (no incluido) como se indic&

- Siesta usando conductos de pl4stico ®, introduzca el extremo moldeado (bulbo) del tubo ® dentro

del racor de compresiOn.

2. Apriete la tuerca de compresi6n @sobre el racor de compresi6n. No fuerce la tuerca de compresi6n ®.

3. Abra el paso de agua y compruebe que no haya fugas. Si observa gotas de agua o fugas en el 4rea de conexi6n, cierre la Ilave de paso de agua principal. Compruebe las conexiones y, si es necesario, apriete

mas.

4. Deje la m4quina de hielo funcionando durante 1 o 2 dfas. Durante este peffodo de tiempo, deseche el

primero o dos primeros recipientes de hielo para asegurarse de que hayan desaparecido las impurezas

de la ffnea de agua.

5. Compruebe de nuevo que no haya fugas. Si observa gotas de agua o fugas en el 4tea de conexi6n, cierre la Ilave de paso de agua principal. Compruebe las conexiones y, si es necesario, apriete m4s.

Conecte la toma de agua sOlo a una fuente de agua potable. Si debe reparar o desmontar la toma de agua,

corte 6,35 mm (1/4") del tubo de plastico para garantizar una conexi6n ajustada y sin fugas.

PREPARACION

Ahora que ya tiene instalado su nuevo frigofffico, puede prepararlo para disfrutar de todas sus

caracteffsticas y funciones. Cumpla con los pasos siguientes para que su frigofffico est6 totalmente operativo.

1. AsegOrese de que el frigofffico se haya ubicado correctamente, a una distancia razonable de la pared. Consulte las instrucciones de instalaciOn de este manual.

2. Tras enchufar el frigofffico, asegOrese de que se enciendan las luces interiores cuando abra las puertas.

3. Ponga el control en la temperatura m_s baja y espere una hora. El congelador se enfriar_ ligeramente y el motor funcionara con suavidad.

Seleccione las temperaturas que usted desee para el refrigerador y el congelador.

4. Tras enchufar el frigofffico, se necesitaran varias horas para alcanzar la temperatura apropiada. Puede guardar alimentos y bebidas en el frigofffico cuando se haya enfriado Io suficiente.

Si hay condensaciOn o gotas de agua en ambos lados de la parte central de la puerta del refrigerador, apague el modo Ahorro de energfa despu6s de retirarlas.

La luz del indicador de filtro (E_) le permite saber cu_ndo ha Ilegado el momento de cambiar el

cartucho del filtro de agua. Cuando la luz del indicador del filtro se ilumine, es el momento de cambiar el filtro. Cambiar el filtro a tiempo le permitir_ obtener agua m_s fresca y pura de su

refrigerador. Normalmente, el filtro se cambia cada 6 meses.

• El indicador del filtro pasar_ a iluminarse en azul cuando usted compra el nuevo refrigerador.

• El indicador del filtro cambiara a color rosa cuando el filtro haya filtrado 1000 litros de agua, o tras cinco meses.

$06mo cambiar el filtro de agua ?

1. Cierre la Ilave de paso del agua. A continuaci6n, gire el filtro de agua ((_}) aproximadamente 1/4de vuelta, en el sentido opuesto a las agujas del reloj.

2. Saque el filtro de agua (1_) de la caja del filtro ((_).

Para cambiar el filtro de agua con mayor facilidad, cierre la Ilave de paso del agua.

En ocasiones, es dificil desmontar el filtro de agua debido alas impurezas en el agua. Si esto ocurre, sujete el filtro de agua y tire con fuerza.

Cuando tire del filtro de agua, puede salir agua del filtro o la abertura. Es normal. Para minimizar las fugas de agua, mantenga el cartucho

de filtro horizontal cuando tire de 61. Para evitar que se desborde, vacie la bandeja del filtro seque alrededor del alojamiento (_).

compartimento hasta su lugar.

Para retirar la division - tire por completo del compartimento en toda su extension y levante la cara

frontal de la division para desengancharla de la parte posterior de la pared del compartimento y, a continuaciOn, levantelo.

Para volver a colocar la division - enganche la parte de atras de la division sobre la parte posterior de la

pared del compartimento y, a continuaciOn, empuje hacia abajo la division.

Compruebe que el enchufe de alimentacion electrica este correctamente conectado. Compruebe si la temperatura seleccionada en el display digital es superior a la temperatura interior del congelador o refrigerador.

Si es asi, seleccione una temperatura mas baja. i_Esta expuesto el refrigerador a la luz solar directa o se encuentra cerca de una

fuente de calor? i_Esta la parte trasera del refrigerador demasiado cerca de la pared y no permite una

correcta ventilaciOn?

Compruebe si la temperatura seleccionada en el display digital es demasiado baja. Seleccione una temperatura mas alta.

Suba la temperatura del frigorifico.

i_Haguardado alimentos jugosos en la parte mas fria del refrigerador? Ponga esos alimentos en otras estanterias, en vez de guardarlos en los

compartimentos mas frios. Si oye un sonido como si algo chocara dentro del frigorifico, es normal. El sonido se

debe a los cubitos de hielo que rozan el cubo perbdicamente.

Compruebe que el refrigerador este nivelado y estable. i_Esta la parte trasera del refrigerador demasiado cerca de la pared y no permite una correcta ventilaciOn?

Intente separar la parte trasera del frigorifico un minimo de 5 cm de la pared. _,Seha caido algo debajo o detras del refrigerador? Se oye un "tic" desde el interior del refrigerador. Es normal y ocurre porque varios

accesorios se contraen o expanden como resultado de cambios en la temperatura del interior del frigorifico.

sHa esperado las 12 horas posteriores a la instalaci6n de la toma de abastecimiento de

agua antes de elaborar hielo? sEsta conectada la toma de agua y la valvula de corte abierta? sDetuvo manualmente el funcionamiento de lamaquina de hielo? sEs demasiado alta la temperatura de la nevera? Intente ajustar latemperatura de la

neveraa un nivel inferior.

Chequee que no existen alimentos estropeados.

Los alimentos con un olor fuerte (pot ejemplo, pescados) deben cubrirse hermeticamente. Limpie peri6dicamente su heladera chequeando y desechando alimentos en real estado.

que elaire circule libremente.

Deje espacio suficiente entre los alimentos para facilitar la circulaci6n del aire.

Abra y cierre la puerta suavemente 1-2 veces. Posteriormente, el sistema de cierre automatico de puertas funciona correctamente.

Abra lapuerta suavemente para evitar que se desequilibren las partes izquierday derecha.

La condensaci6n o las gotas de agua pueden formarse si la humedad es demasiado elevada mientras el refrigerador esta en funcionamiento. Si hay condensacion o gotas de agua en ambos lados de la parte central de la puerta del refrigerador, apague el modo Ahorro de energia despues de retirarlas.
