Advanced Software Upgrade Guide
The appearance of the TV and the remote control may differ depending on your TV model.
1 Downloading the software.
Download new S/W on-line (www.samsung.com/support/download)
––Connect to www.samsung.com and press the button at the top right to move to the website for the corresponding country.
How to prepare the USB Memory Drive
1. Save the firmware file from ‘Samsung.com’ onto your computer.
2.Connect the USB Memory Drive to the USB port of your PC. Copy the file onto the USB Memory
Drive.
3.Go to the USB Memory Drive and then double click the file.
4.Press the ‘Install’ button.
5.Unzipping is in progress and the program will close automatically when the installation is complete.
6.A folder containing the firmware files has been added to the USB memory drive.
disconnect the USB memory drive by right clicking the green check mark on taskbar and then left click ‘Safely Remove’.
Caution!!
The USB device should have only one folder.

2 Software upgrade for Samsung TV
1.Upgrade the software using the USB Memory Drive.
2.Please follow the step by step instructions below.
3.The side panel of the TV may not be the same as depicted fig 1 (TV Side Panel or TV Rear Panel).
Insert USB stick into USB slot.
NN The position and shape of USB port are different with models.
4.Power on the TV.
5.The TV will display fig 2 (Connecting to portable device).
NN If fig 2 is not displayed press the MENU button on the remote control. Using the up and down keys, select Support, then press the ENTERE button.
6.Using the up and down keys on the remote control select
Software Upgrade then press the ENTERE button.
7.The TV will display fig 3 (Software Upgrade).
8.Using the up and down keys on the remote control select By USB then press the ENTERE button.
9.Amessage will appear asking if you want to perform the firmware update. Select OK and then press the ENTERE button on the remote control.
10.The firmware update will start. This should take 3 min to 5 min.
Caution!!
Do not disconnect the USB drive during this step
Do not unplug the power cord or turn the TV off.
11.After completing the firmware update, the TV will turn off in
3seconds and turn back on.
12.It is safe to remove the USB Memory Drive after the TV turns on.
