Assembling
Install the SIM or USIM card
Open the cover to the SIM card slot on the side of 1. the device.
Insert the SIM or USIM card with the gold-2. coloured contacts facing down.
Do not insert a memory card into the SIM card slot.
Close the cover of the SIM card slot.3.

Charge the battery
Before using the device for the first time, you must charge the battery.
Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables. Unauthorised chargers or cables can cause batteries to explode or damage your device.
Connect the PC data cable to the USB power 1. adapter and then plug the end of the PC data cable into the multifunction jack.
The shape of the USB power adapter may dier depending on your region.
Connecting the PC data cable improperly may cause serious damage to the device or USB power adpater. Any damage caused by misuse is not covered by the warranty.

Plug the USB power adapter into a power outlet.2.
While the device is charging, the touch screen and the touch keys may not function due to an unstable power supply. If this happens, unplug the USB power adapter from the power outlet or unplug the PC data cable from the device.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug the USB 3. power adapter and PC data cable from the device and then from the power outlet.
To save energy, unplug the USB power adapter when not in use. The USB power adapter does not have a power switch, so you must unplug the USB power adapter from the outlet to interrupt the power supply. The USB power adapter should remain close to the socket when in use.
