Samsung Galaxy S6 software update:

New software version: G920AZTUU3BOJ6

A software update for customers on software version is G920AZTUU3BOJ6 is now available to upgrade
to the Marshmallow Operating System. Enhancements include:

• Update from Android 5.1 Lollipop to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

− Google Voice search improvements via the Google apps menu

− Google added to the settings menu

− Smart Manager feature for ease of viewing battery use, storage, memory, and security

− Expanded app permissions control

• Samsung Pay enhancements – Pay with your credit cards, debit card and gift cards all you’re

Samsung has begun pushing this software update to Galaxy S6 customers on 7/6/16, prompting them to
install the software update to their device (Previous software version is G920AZTUU3BOJ6) the user
must be connected to a Wi-Fi network for the software to be downloaded to their device.

Updating software after receiving notification powering up device for the first time:

1. You may see the following notification on your device after the software update is available.
This can happen within the first few hours after the device is first activated, when the device is
connected to Wi-Fi, or at a regularly scheduled notification window:

2. After the software has been downloaded, you will have the ability to Install Now, schedule the
install to automatically happen overnight or postpone it until later. To download the software,
tap INSTALL NOW

3. Once the download is complete, the device will restart and install the updates and provide a
confirmation after powering up that your phone software has been updated.

Verifying Software Version

Below are the steps to check your software version and to manually update the software to the new
version (G920AZTUU4CPF2).

1. From any home screen, touch the Menu key, and then touch Settings.

2. Touch the System tab at the top of the display

3. Scroll down and touch About device.

4. Look under Build number which will list the software version. If you are on software version

G920AZTUU3BOJ6, you can update to version G920AZTUU4CPF2.

How to Manually Update the Software

1. Ensure the phone is fully charged, is connected to Wi-Fi, and all data on phone has been backed-up.

2. From any home screen, touch the Apps key, and then touch Settings.

3. Touch the System tab at the top of the display (swipe the tabs to the left until System is shown).

4. Scroll down and touch About device.

5. Touch the Download updates manually option.

6. The device will register with Samsung and automatically begin downloading the update.

7. After the software has completed downloading you will see the screen on the left if looking at your
Notification Panel. Tap on it to display the screen on the right

8. Tap INSTALL

9. Your device will restart and install the updates and provide a confirmation after powering up

completely to the home screen.
