Water Leak Sensor

Meet your Water Leak Sensor

By placing this wireless ZigBee sensor in areas of your
home that are prone to leaking (such as a basement, near a
water heater, under an old pipe, or in a bathroom), you can
receive an immediate alert on your smartphone at the first
sign of excess moisture and prevent a minor headache from
causing major damage.

How to connect a Water Leak Sensor

Select “Connect New Device” in the free SmartThings
mobile app and then remove the “Remove to Pair” tab found
in the Water Leak Sensor.

Installation Tips

The Water Leak Sensor works best if it’s within 15 feet
(4.5 meters) of the SmartThings Hub when you connect it.

If your device doesn’t connect

If your device doesn’t connect after removing the "Remove
to Pair" tab, hold the “Connect” button while inserting the
batter y. Release the button when the LED is lit. The LED will
blink blue while attempting to connect. Then select
“Connect New Device” in the SmartThings app.

Placing the Water Leak Sensor

If a pool of water forms, moisture must contact both leads to
trigger an alert.

Place the Water Leak Sensor in areas like bathrooms,
basements, under clogged drains, under older pipes, or in
other areas of your home that are prone to leaking so that
you can receive an instant alert.

Replacing the battery

To replace the battery in your Water Leak Sensor, remove
device cover to access battery. Remove battery, add a new
batter y and close the cover back into place.

One (1) Year Limited Warr anty

SmartThings, Inc. warrants this product (the “Product”) against defects in
materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1)
YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (“Warranty
Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is recei ved within the Warranty
Period, then as your sole remedy (and SmartThings’ sole liability),
SmartThings w ill at its option either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using
new or refurbished replacement pa rts, or 2) replace the Produc t with a new
product that is functionally equi valent to the original, in each case within 30
days following receipt of the returne d Product. A replacement product or
part, assumes the remaining warranty of th e original Product. When a
Product or part is exchanged, any rep lacement item becomes your property
and the replaced Product or part be comes SmartThings’ propert y.

Obtaining Ser vice: To obtain warranty ser vice, visit
suppor t.smartthings.com to speak with a serv ice agent or open a service
request. Please be prepare d to describe the Product that needs servic e and
the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. The Product must
be insured, and shipped freight prepaid and securely packaged. You must
contact suppor t for a Return Material Authorization Number (“RMA
Number”) before shipping any Product, and in clude the RMA Number, a
copy of you r purchase receipt and a desc ription of the problem you are
experi encing w ith the Product. A ny claim under this Limited Warrant y must
be submitted to SmartThings before the end of the Warranty Period.

Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to
follow instructions relating to the Product’s use or the installati on of
components; b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, transport,
neglect, fire, floods, ear thquake or other external causes; c) damage
caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized
represe ntative of SmartThings; d) accessories used in conj unction with a
covered Product; e) a Product or part that has been modified to alter
functionality or capability; f) items intended to be periodically replaced by
the purchaser during the normal life of the Product, including, without
limitation, bat teries, b ulbs or ca bles; g) a Product that is used commercia lly
or for a commercial purpose, in each case as determined by SmartThings.

EXCEPT FOR BODILY INJURY, SMARTTHINGS SH ALL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR (I) ANY LOST PROFITS, COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUB STITUTE
