INTRODUCTION
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using the Floor Fan, basic precautions should always be followed including the following:
Make sure the power used, corresponds to the power indicated on the rating
label.
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure the power is turned off at the mains
switch before wiring or servicing
All electrical wirings must be in accordance with local electrical codes. Be careful of revolving fan blades when working near the floor fan. Make sure that the fan is grounded to avoid possible electrical shock. Do not mount fan. Use the fan only for needed use as described in this instruction manual. To protect against electrical shock, do not place fan near a window. Do not cover. Do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water; or allow for liquid to come into
contact with any part of the fan.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Unplug the fan from the power supply when: not in use, when moving from
one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
Avoid coming into contact with any moving part. To avoid vibration, place the fan on a smooth level surface. Never operate the fan with a damaged power cord or plug, or after it has fallen
or been damaged in any way.
Do not allow objects to fall into the openings and do not insert objects through
the guard when the fan is in operation.
Do not operate without fan grills properly in place. Do not use outdoors. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. To disconnect, grip plug, and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on the cord. Do not try to cover extend or stretch the mains cable. Never attempt to open any part or dismantle the controls. Responsibility for
failure cannot be accepted if this instruction has been ignored.
This product is intended for household use only. Industrial or commercial use
invalidates the warranty.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

FAN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Your Salton Elite Floor Fan has been boxed unassembled to minimize packaging waste. Each part fits together easily and can be later removed for cleaning, and storage. Assemble the SFF18 as follows:
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your Salton Elite Floor Fan control has three speed settings. The various speed settings assist in regulating the airflow from the fan and can be turned to the right or left hand side of the ‘0’. :
1. Number One – For low speed and air circulation
2. Number Two – For medium speed and air circulation
3. Number Three – For high speed and air circulation
In the number three position the SFF18 can be turned 45 to generate air flow to the entire room and not just in the direction aimed at.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning, always ensure the fan is switched off and disconnected from
the electrical socket.
2. Wipe off dust and dirt with a warm moist cloth and then buff with dry cloth.
3. Do not immerse the fan in water or other fluids.
SERVICE
Hints before returning the fan:
Problem Possible Cause
The fan does not work Check that the unit is plugged in, and that the power is turned on.
Are all required switches in the on position?
Is the cord, or plugged damaged?
DUE TO ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS, PRODUCTS MAY CHANGE SLIGHTLY FROM THOSE SHOWN ON THE PACKAGING.
If service should become necessary within the warranty period, the appliance should be returned to an approved TEDELEX TRADING (PTY) LTD service centre. Servicing outside the warranty period is still available, however this will be chargeable. If the power supply cord becomes damaged the manufacturer or an approved service agent must replace it.

W A R R A N T Y
1. Tedelex Trading (Pty) Limited (“Tedelex”) warrants to the original purchaser of
this product (“the customer”) that this product will be free of defects in quality
and workmanship which under normal personal, family or household use and
purpose may manifest within a period of 1 (one) year from the date of purchase
(“warranty period”).
2. Where the customer has purchased a product and it breaks, is defective or does
not work properly for the intended purpose, the customer must notify the
supplier from whom the customer bought the product (“the supplier”) thereof
within the warranty period. Any claim in terms of this warranty must be
supported by a proof of purchase. If proof of purchase is not available, then
repair, and/or service charges may be payable by the customer to the supplier.
3. The faulty product must be taken to the supplier's service centre to exercise the
warranty.
4. The supplier will refund, repair or exchange the product in terms of this warranty
subject to legislative requirements. This warranty shall be valid only where the
customer has not broken the product himself, or used the product for something
that it is not supposed to be used for. The warranty does not include and will not
be construed to cover products damaged as a result of disaster, misuse, tamper,
abuse or any unauthorised modification or repair of the product.
5. This warranty will extend only to the product provided at the date of the purchase
and not to any expendables attached or installed by the customer.
6. If the customer requests that the supplier repairs the product and the product
breaks or fails to work properly within 3 (three) months of the repair and not as a
result of misuse, tampering or modification by or on behalf of the customer, then
the supplier may replace the product or pay a refund to the customer.
7. The customer may be responsible for certain costs where products returned are
not in the original packaging, or if the packaging is damaged. This will be
deducted from any refund paid to the customer.
