Fine instruments in every respect, all Special Edition Maestro
violins feature the very best and rarest woods, and are superbly
handcrafted by extraordinarily skilled luthiers whose goal is to
produce a perfect instrument every time.

The flagship Cremona’s Maestro Series is a re-creation of the
legendary Hellier Strad. The Hellier is the most famous of
Antonio Stradivari’s inlaid violins. Originally purchased by Sir
Samuel Hellier in the early 18th century directly from the
Master, the instrument eventually passed to Mr. H.E. Morriss, a
Shanghai newspaper publisher. Fortunately, Mr. Morriss took
the Hellier with him to England before World War II; after World
War II, Morriss saw all of his Shanghai possessions confiscated
by the revolutionary functionaries of Mao Zedong and put on
display as plunder. The original Hellier is presently in the
Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

Cremona Premier: Electric Violin

Cremona electric violin lets you play as loud as you want!

The New Cremona SVE-100 is an entirely new concept in Electric
Violins! With its compact dimensions and light weight, it feels
comfortable on your shoulder. The hollow body consists of a
carved spruce back and top, glued to each other without sides.
A maple Skeleton supports the body and incorporates the carved
neck and minimalist scroll—all with the idea of the lightest
weight and greatest comfort for the performer. The electronics
are the famous Skyinbow brand—the same system used on their
world-famous custom instruments that sell for $3,000! The finger­board, pegs and tailpiece are the finest ebony and the bridge is
our Cremona VP-202. A 9-volt battery is hidden in a compart­ment inside the body. The body is the same thickness as a con­ventional violin and the chinrest is an ebony Guarneri model.

The SVE-100 feels exactly like a conventional acoustic violin in
your hands and the hollow body and state-of-the-art electronics

Gitane Signature Gypsy Jazz Guitars

Classic guitars from the past that really swing!

Fans of Gypsy Jazz applaud Saga’s reintroduction of two of the
most recognizable instruments that set the standard for this style
of music. The Gitane D-500 represents the guitar as designed by
the legendary Mario Maccaferri during his years with Selmer. Its
characteristic large D-shaped soundhole and classical guitar feel
set the tone for this music and the expectations for all players.
Further development of the guitar by Selmer, after the departure
of Mr. Maccaferri gave birth to the DG-255, the recognizable
small hole or Petite Bouche, longer scaled version of the instru­ment later made famous by Django Reinhardt.

Each instrument possess it’s own characteristic tone, with the
D-500 having more volume and bottom end, while the DG-255
has plenty of cutting power to penetrate through the mix as a
strong lead instrument.

Blueridge has re-introduced the classic 0-sized tenor guitar and
has perfectly reproduced this popular model down to the last
detail. Originally coming to prominence in the late 1920s, the
tenor guitar was designed as an instrument that would allow the
tenor banjoist to double on guitar. As the six-string guitar gradually
replaced the banjo in the Big Bands, the four-string tenor guitar
found its way into Dixieland, Western Swing and country fiddle
bands.

Saga Musical Instruments celebrates the past by introducing our
new line of Parlor Guitars—the Blueridge BR-341, BR-361 and
BR-371. These new Blueridge guitars are perfect replicas of the
classic, small-bodied parlor guitars built around the year 1900.
Some of these classic originals are among the most highly-sought
and highest priced collectibles on the present market. Every
feature of design, workmanship and ornamentation is faithfully
reproduced—but with a few modern improvements, when necessary,
such as a slimmer, more playable neck with adjustable truss rod
for perfect action.

The Flagship of this line is the Blueridge BR-371 which features
stunning abalone pearl inlay around top and soundhole. The
most select, solid spruce top is paired with solid East Indian
rosewood back and sides. The BR-361 is the same fine guitar but
substitutes fine herringbone purfling for the decorative top border.

features beautiful original designs in white pearl and abalone in
the peghead and distinctive Trinity inlaid pearl position marks

and VALUE! Our brand new RD-30 models have a new interior
construction that substitutes 4 soundposts for the traditional
soundwell. These beauties offer the finest possible sound at an
entry-level price! A beautiful natural Mahogany finish is available,
as well as a tasteful Vintage Sunburst. All metal parts are heavily
nickel-plated, and our DP-26 lightweight aluminum spider-bridge

The Finest Woods—Exceptional Tone—Introducing the New Kentucky KM-1500!

Every fine Luthier workshop dreams of producing a Flagship
model—an instrument on which no expense is spared, an
instrument that uses the finest materials and embodies all the
accumulated skill and devotion of their finest craftsmen. The
Kentucky workshop has realized its dream of its ultimate, or
Flagship, mandolin—the new KM-1500.

This Master Instrument uses the finest, most highly figured
Michigan Maple combined with the whitest, most fine-grained
Adirondack Spruce. These solid woods are meticulously hand­carved and graduated—just as were the Fabled Originals of the
early ’20s—to achieve the finest tone quality and volume possible
in a new instrument. The delicately shaded Cremona Sunburst
finish on the new KM-1500 is as close to the Originals as you will
ever see—and the elegantly gold-plated and engraved tuning
machines and tailpiece are in perfect harmony with the under­stated elegance of the finish and workmanship. The body, neck
and peghead are bordered with Ivoroid and fine, black and
white lines of inlay. The perfect replica ebony bridge has a com­pensated top and is height adjustable by two small thumb­wheels, gold-plated. Perhaps the crowning touch of elegance on
the new KM-1500 is the traditional “Fern” inlay of Abalone pearl,
carefully inlaid in the peghead just below the White Pearl
Kentucky logo. The ebony extension fingerboard has the full 29
frets—low, smooth and polished to perfection. The highly fig­ured maple neck has the slender vee-shape artists prefer. A tra­ditional, Oblong case with cover is included in the price.

Kentucky Master A-Model Mandolin

Kentucky re-creates legendary A-Model mandolin!

In the Classic Era of American Mandolins—the early 1920s—
there was a single example of a Lloyd Loar Master Model in the
A-style—a symmetrical pear-shaped body without points or
scroll. This mandolin had the long neck that joined the body at
the 15thfret and the symmetrical “snakehead” shaped peghead.
As regards finish, choice of wood and fittings, it was identical to
the standard Master Model F-5. The tone of this singular mandolin
was equal to any F-5 and has charmed players and collectors to
this day.

With a lovely Cremona Brown shaded lacquer finish, identical to
our KM-1000 F-Model, we feel that we are offering a thoroughly
professional mandolin at an amazingly low price. The new KM-900
features select, solid spruce and solid Northern flatsawn maple, as
was used in the 1920s Vintage Originals. This ensures that our
new mandolin has the right look as well as the right sound.

The great Lloyd A. Loar designed the Classic mandolins of the
1920s—mandolins that set the standard for everything else that
has followed. Saga designed it’s KM-300 Artist Series of
Kentucky mandolins to incorporate many of the important
features found in the most expensive custom instruments.
Every mandolin in this series features the traditional Snakehead
peghead design of Loar-era instruments and an adjustable truss

Saga Banjos

Legendary banjos for the legendary musician!

The Saga Style III Banjo features a rim design inspired by the
instruments of William Lange in the early 1900s and the banjos
produced by the Ode Banjo Company in the 1960s. Saga intro­duced this unique flathead design in the late 1970s, incorporating
a cast hard-alloy rim with an integral, buttressed tone ring. The
result is an amazing clarity of tone in all registers as well as the
quick attack and rapid decay that pickers expect in a professional
quality flathead banjo. The P-11 heavy-duty, grooved, tension
hoop is machined from solid brass, polished, and triple nickel­plated. This design has stood the test of time, having been first
used on the Mastertone Banjos of the Gibson Mandolin Guitar
Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Saga Style III Banjo was
designed for the advanced student or professional.

The Saga Old Time Banjos are reminiscent of the classic banjos
produced by S.S. Stewart in Philadelphia over one hundred
years ago. Saga has incorporated a slightly heavier maple rim
with a rolled brass tone ring to produce an instrument retaining
the traditional look and feel of banjos produced in that Golden
Age. In the last century, banjos were parlor instruments strung
with gut. The heavier rim design along with planetary pegs and
a geared fifth peg were added to compensate for the increased
tension and torque of modern steel strings. These banjos are
certain to become universal favorites.

Making history, played by legends!

Most banjo players agree that the ideal Bluegrass banjo was the
flathead built in very limited quantities during the 1930s. Earl
Scruggs, Sonny Osborne, and J.D. Crowe have all owned these
models valued in excess of $80,000. The Gold Star is a replica of
that design and captures the sound of these classic banjos at a
price within the reach of any serious banjo player.

Extensive metallurgical research in the laboratories of the
University of California has resulted in the copper-rich bell
bronze alloy used in the tone ring of the GF-100 Series. Each
tone ring is cast, machined, and plated, then carefully hand
fitted. The rim itself is made of three overlapping plies of rock
maple, routed to the exact configuration used in the nineteen
thirties flatheads—the only construction that can duplicate the
old sound.

Available in three models, distinguished by their inlay patterns,
every Gold Star flathead has the utmost in volume and cutting
power combined with every nuance and shading of tone. For

In the late 1970s Saga Musical Instruments made banjo history
with the introduction of the Gold Star Banjo. These instruments
were the first production banjos since the 1930s to be manufac­tured with the lethal combination of a three-ply maple rim and
a single piece flange! As a result, Gold Star banjos became
collector’s items for the current crop of pickers during the 1980s
and 1990s and are still the object of many a collector’s desire.

The GF-85 easily lives up to its reputation as a banjo in which
the sound quality and value far exceeds anything at twice the
price. Produced with the same attention to detail as the original
models and under the watchful eye of our skilled makers, these
reissue Gold Stars come from an almost clean slate and are
made the old-fashioned way, replicating ’30s era banjos with a

Bodhrans are the traditional Irish/Celtic hand drum. Trinity College
bodhrans are built to the traditional 18"-diameter with twin crossbar
support and laminated wood rim. The genuine natural white
goatskin head is attached with tacks, giving the drum the tradi­tional look and feel. All Trinity College Bodhrans include a polished
wood tipper.

Trinity College Concertinas offer all the features and craftsmanship
of the classic turn-of-the-century instruments but at moderate cost.
These instruments are light weight, portable, easy to learn and
fun to play.

Trinity College Anglo Collection Concertinas feature a diatonic
button system which works much as a harmonica does. Each button
produces two different pitches, one on the blow, another on the
draw. Though they can be played in other keys, they are most
played in C or G. Harmony may be obtained by pushing more than
one button at a time.
