Comfort Check Pacifier Thermometer
with BONUS Pacifier Medicine

To Operate Pacifier Thermometer

1. Press and release the small button. A full LCD screen

will display for 2 seconds. After full display, last
temperature measured will appear for 2 seconds.
The display panel will flash to indicate that it is
ready for insertion into the child’s mouth to measure
temperature. In the display will appear 188.8° F for
about two seconds, and then “L” with the °F symbol
flashing.

2. Allow the child to suck on the Pacifier Thermometer

for a minimum of 90 seconds. The thermometer will
beep for 8 to 10 seconds when it reaches maximum
temperature and the °F will stop flashing.

3. Remove the Pacifier Thermometer and read the
temperature indicated on display panel. NOTE: It is
not uncommon for infants to have a normal body
temperature slightly higher than the prescribed norm
for adults.

4. To turn the thermometer off, press the button
switch again. In order to conserve battery life we
recommend turning the thermometer off after
taking a reading. However the thermometer will
automatically shut off after about 10 minutes.

5. If the measurement is interrupted for any reason,
repeat the above procedure.

6. H°F will be displayed when the measured temperature
is above 109.9° F. Turn off, wait one minute, then
turn on and try again. If H°F displays again, discard
thermometer.

7. To recall the last temperature, press and hold the
power button for at least 3 seconds. The thermometer
will run a built-in test. The last temperature will be
displayed with the letter “M” under the degree sign.
Release the power button and the thermometer will
return to the ready-to-measure mode.

2. Deje que su niño chupe el chupete termómetro

temperatura llegue a un máximo, el termómetro
señalará con un tono por 8 a 10 segundos y el símbolo
°F/°C dejará de parpadear.

3. Retire el chupete termómetro y lea la temperatura indicada
en el mostrador. AVISO: No es poco común que la
temperatura normal del cuerpo del niño sea un poco más
elevada que la temperatura recomendada para adultos.

4. Para apagar el termómetro, presione el interruptor
de botón otra vez. Para conservar la vida de la pila,
recomendamos apagar el termómetro después de
tomar la temperatura. Sin embargo, el termómetro se
apagará automáticamente después de 10 minutos.

5. Si la medida de temperatura se interrumpe, repita el
proceso anterior.

6. “H° F” / “H°C” aparecerá en pantalla cuando la
temperatura medida sea superior a 109.9° F/43.2 °C.
Apague el termómetro, espere un minuto, enciéndalo
nuevamente y vuelva a intentarlo. Si la pantalla muestra
“H° F” / “H°C” nuevamente, deseche el termómetro.

7. Para traer de la memoria la última medida de
temperatura, presione y mantenga presionado el botón
por 3 segundos. El termómetro ejecutará una prueba
incorporada. La última medida se exhibirá con la letra
“M” debajo del signo de grados. Suelte el botón de
apagar y encender y el termómetro estará listo para
usar otra vez.

One Year Limited Warranty for Thermometer

Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser
that this product (Comfort Check Pacifier Thermometer), is
free from material and workmanship defects when used under
normal conditions for a period of one (1) year from the date
of purchase. Should the product contain defects in material or
workmanship Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc., will repair or replace
the product, at our option, free of charge. Purchaser will be
responsible for all costs associated with packaging and ship­ping the product to Dorel Juvenile Group Consumer Relations
Department at the address noted on the front page and all
other freight or insurance costs associated with the return. Dorel
Juvenile Group will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or
replaced product to the purchaser. Product should be returned
in its original package accompanied by a proof of purchase,
either a sales receipt or other proof that the product is within
the warranty period. This warranty is void if the owner repairs
or modifies the product or the product has been damaged as a
result of misuse.

This warranty excludes any liability other than that
expressly stated previously, including but not limited to,
any incidental or inconsequential damages.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL

CARE AND CLEANING:

•

Examine the pacifier bulb before each use for cracks, tears,
tackiness or other signs of wear. Discard the worn unit
immediately.

•

Do not attempt to pull or twist the nipple apart from
the body or detach button head as this will damage
the thermometer’s sensitive temperature probe and
electronics.

•

The thermometer may be sterilized by immersing the
silicone rubber nipple ONLY in sterilizing solution such as
alcohol. Immerse the nipple approximately 1 inch / 2.5 cm
ONLY in the solution. The protective clip-on plastic shield
supplied may be used as a container for this purpose.

•

The plastic parts of the thermometer may be wiped clean
with a soft cloth.

•

Use this thermometer for oral temperature measurements
only.

CAUTION: The pacifier thermometer should never be completely immersed
in sterilizing solution, or sterilized in boiling water, as damage will occur
to the electronic components. DO NOT place in microwave.

SPECIFICATIONS:

1. The measuring range is 90.0° F to 109.9° F.

2. The accuracy of the Safety 1st Pacifier Thermometer is

+0.2° F, from 98.0° F to 102.0° F.

3. The life of the 1.5V drycell battery sealed in the

thermometer is approximately 18 months under normal use
conditions. When the display shows “BAT”, discontinue
use. NOTE: The battery is not replaceable. Do not attempt
to remove the battery.

• Revise

la tetina del chupete antes de cada uso para asegu­rarse de que no tenga señales de desgaste como rajaduras
y pegajosidad. Si hay alguna señal de desgaste, deshágase
de esta unidad inmediatamente.

No trate de tirar o retorcer la tetina del cuerpo del chupete y
