User Guide

WARNING:

BEFORE USING DIGITAL

THERMOMETER, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

• ALWAYS supervise your child when using the thermometer.
NEVER allow your child to use it alone.

• DO NOT tie pacifier around child’s neck as it presents a
strangulation hazard. This product is NOT intended for
extended use as a pacifier.

• Inspect regularly for tears and cracks. If nipple tears,
discontinue use immediately.

• NEVER allow children to play with this product. It is not a toy.
This is a sensitive electronic device and may be damaged if
not used properly under parental supervision.

• DO NOT expose the thermometer to extreme temperatures,
humidity, direct sunlight or shock, and/or dust.

CAUTION:

• This product is not a toy. DO NOT allow children to play with it.

• When not in use, keep out of reach of children.

• ALWAYS supervise your child when using a medicine
dispenser. NEVER allow your child to use it alone or without
close adult supervision.

• Keep all medications out of children’s reach. We recommend
that you use a child restraint top to seal the medicine bottle
and store it in a locked cabinet or other location that is not
accessible to a child.

• FOR HOME USE ONLY. MADE WITHOUT BPA.

How to Take Temperature

TAKING THE READING

1 Press and release the ON/OFF button. A full LCD screen will display for 2 seconds.

The display panel will flash to indicate that it is ready for insertion into the child’s
mouth to measure temperature. In the display will appear 188.8°C for about two
seconds, and then “L” with the °C symbol flashing.

2 Allow the child to suck on the Pacifier Thermometer for a minimum of 90 seconds.

The thermometer will beep for 8 to 10 seconds when it reaches maximum
temperature and the °C will stop flashing.

3 Remove the Pacifier Thermometer and read the temperature indicated on display

panel. NOTE: It is not uncommon for infants to have a normal body temperature
slightly higher than the prescribed norm for adults.

4 To turn the thermometer off, press the ON/OFF button again. In order to conserve

battery life we recommend turning the thermometer off after taking a reading.
However the thermometer will automatically shut off after about 10 minutes.

5 If the measurement is interrupted for any reason, repeat the above procedure.
6 H°C will be displayed when the measured temperature is above 43.2°C. Turn

off, wait one minute, then turn on and try again. If H°C displays again, discard
thermometer.

7 To recall the last temperature, press and hold the power button for at least 3

seconds. The thermometer will run a built-in test. The last temperature will be
displayed with the letter “M” under the degree sign. Release the power button and
the thermometer will return to the ready-to-measure mode.

BONUS Pacifier Medicine Dispenser

1. Remove backing and fill to prescribed dosage.

2. Snap backing onto pacifier.
Care and Cleaning

• Examine the pacifier bulb before each use for cracks, tears, tackiness or other signs of
wear. Discard the worn unit immediately.

• Wash before first use and after every use. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse
thoroughly. Alternatively, it is dishwasher safe. TOP RACK ONLY.

Care and Cleaning

• Examine the pacifier bulb before each use for cracks, tears, tackiness or other signs of
wear. Discard the worn unit immediately.

• Do not attempt to pull or twist the nipple apart from the body or detach button head as
this will damage the thermometer’s sensitive temperature probe and electronics.

• The thermometer may be sterilized by immersing the silicone rubber nipple ONLY in
sterilizing solution such as isopropyl alcohol. Immerse the nipple approximately 2.5 cm (1 in)
ONLY in the solution. The protective clip-on plastic shield supplied may be used as a
container for this purpose.

• The plastic parts of the thermometer may be wiped clean with a soft cloth.

CAUTION: The pacifier thermometer should never be completely immersed in sterilizing solution, or sterilized
in boiling water, as damage will occur to the electronic components. DO NOT place in microwave.

What Is A “Normal” Temperature?

Temperature readings are different from person to person and also vary depending
upon the body location from which the temperature is taken.

“Normal” temperature refers to each individual’s average temperature while
they are well. You may want to measure and record your baby’s temperature
a few times when he or she is well, so that you will know what is normal for
your own child.

Important Information:

•

Temperature readings are affected by many factors including exercise,
drinking hot or cold beverages prior to taking a reading as well as
technique.

•

High, prolonged fever requires medical attention, especially for young children.
Please contact your physician. Fever chart included on package.

•

DO NOT allow child to walk or run during temperature taking.

when used under normal conditions for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Should the
product contain defects in material or workmanship Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc., will repair or replace the
product, at our option, free of charge. Purchaser will be responsible for all costs associated with packaging
and shipping the product to Dorel Juvenile Group Consumer Relations Department at the address noted on
the front of this document and all other freight or insurance costs associated with the return. Dorel Juvenile
Group will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product to the purchaser. Product should be
returned in its original package accompanied by a proof of purchase, either a sales receipt or other proof
that the product is within the warranty period. This warranty is void if the owner repairs or modifies the
product or the product has been damaged as a result of misuse.This warranty excludes any liability other
than that expressly stated previously, including but not limited to, any incidental or inconsequential
damages.

MISE EN GARDE : AVANT D’UTILISER LE

THERMOMÈTRE NUMÉRIQUE, VEUILLEZ LIRE ATTENTIVEMENT.

• TOUJOURS surveiller votre enfant quand vous utilisez le
thermomètre. NE JAMAIS permettre à votre enfant de l’utiliser seul.

• NE PAS attacher de sucette autour du cou de l’enfant car cela
présente un risque d’étranglement. Ce produit N’EST PAS destiné à
être utilisé comme une sucette.

• Inspectez régulièrement pour des déchirures et des fissures. Si la
tétine se déchire, cessez immédiatement l’utilisation.

• NE JAMAIS permettre aux enfants de jouer avec ce produit. Ce
n’est pas un jouet. Il s’agit d’un dispositif électronique sensible et
peut être endommagé s’il n’est pas utilisé correctement sous la
surveillance des parents.

• NE PAS exposer le thermomètre à des températures extrêmes,
à l’humidité, à la lumière directe du soleil ou au choc, et/ou à la
poussière.

ATTENTION:

• Conservez tous les médicaments hors de la portée des enfants.
Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser un bouchon à l’épreuve des
enfants pour sceller la bouteille de médicament et la ranger dans
une pharmacie verrouillée ou dans tout autre endroit qui n’est pas
accessible à un enfant.

Comment prendre la température

PRENDRE LA LECTURE

1 Appuyez et relâchez le bouton MARCHE/ARRÊT. Un plein écran ACL s’affichera

pendant 2 secondes. Le panneau d’affichage clignotera pour indiquer qu’il est prêt à
être inséré dans la bouche de l’enfant pour mesurer la température. 188.8°C apparaîtra
sur l’écran pendant environ deux secondes, puis “L” avec le symbole °C clignotant.

2 Laissez l’enfant sucer la tétine de la Sucette Thermomètre pendant au moins 90

secondes. Le thermomètre émettra un bip pendant 8 à 10 secondes quand il aura
atteint la température maximale et le °C cessera de clignoter. Le thermomètre
reviendra en mode prêt-à-mesurer.

3 Retirez la Sucette Thermomètre et lisez la température indiquée à l’écran.

NOTE: Il n’est pas rare pour les bébés d’avoir une température corporelle normale

légèrement plus élevée que la norme prescrite pour les adultes.

4 Pour éteindre le thermomètre, appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton MARCHE/ARRÊT.

Afin d’économiser la pile, nous recommandons d’éteindre le thermomètre après
avoir pris une lecture. Cependant, le thermomètre s’éteindra automatiquement
après environ 10 minutes.

5 Si la mesure est interrompue pour une raison quelconque, répétez la procédure ci-dessus.
6 H°C s’affiche lorsque la température mesurée est supérieure à 43.2°C. Éteignez le

thermomètre, attendez une minute, puis activez et réessayez de nouveau. Si H°C
s’affiche encore, jetez le thermomètre.

7 Pour rappeler la dernière température, appuyez et maintenez le bouton d’alimentation

pendant au moins 3 secondes. Le thermomètre exécutera un test intégré. La dernière
température sera affichée avec la lette “M” sous le signe de degré. Relâchez le bouton
d’alimentation et le thermomètre reviendra au mode prêt-à-mesurer.

Sucette Distributrice de Médicaments en BONUS

1. Retirez le support arrière et remplissez jusqu’à la dose prescrite.

2. Enclenchez le support sur la sucette.
Soin et Nettoyage

• Examinez l’ampoule de la sucette avant chaque utilisation pour des fissures, des
déchirures, si elle est gommeuse, ou autres signes d’usure. Jetez le produit usé
immédiatement.

• Lavez avant la première utilisation et après chaque utilisation. Lavez à l’eau tiède
savonneuse, et bien rincer. Alternativement, elle va au lave-vaisselle dans le PANIER

SUPÉRIEUR.

Soin & Nettoyage

• Examinez l’ampoule de la sucette avant chaque utilisation pour des fissures, des
déchirures, si elle est gommeuse, ou autres signes d’usure. Jetez le produit usé
immédiatement.

• Ne pas essayer de séparer la tétine en tirant ou en tordant ou détacher la tête car cela
pourrait endommager la sonde du thermomètre et les pièces électroniques.

• Le thermomètre peut être stérilisé en immergeant la tétine en caoutchouc de silicone
SEULEMENT dans une solution stérilisante comme de de l’alcool isopropylique. Immergez
la tétine d’environ 2.5 cm (1 po) SEULEMENT dans la solution. Le petit écran protecteur en
plastique fourni peut être utilisé comme récipient à cet effet.

• Les pièces en plastique du thermomètre peuvent être nettoyées avec un chiffon doux.

ATTENTION: La Sucette Thermomètre ne doit jamais être immergée complètement dans une solution
stérilisante, ou stérilisée à l’eau bouillante, car vous risqueriez d’endommager les composants électroniques.
NE PAS placer au micro-ondes.

Qu’est-ce qu’une température “Normale”?

Les relevés de température sont différents d’une personne à l’autre et varient
aussi en fonction de l’endroit du corps où la température est prise.

Une température “normale” se réfère à la température moyenne de chaque
individu alors qu’ils est bien. Vous voudrez peut-être mesurer et enregistrer la
température de votre bébé quelques fois alors qu’il ou elle est bien, de sorte que
vous saurez ce qui est normal pour votre propre enfant.

Information Importante:

• Les relevés de température sont affectés par de nombreux facteurs dont
l’exercice, boire des boissons chaudes ou froides avant de prendre une lecture
ainsi que la technique.

• Une température élevée ou prolongée exige une attention médicale,
particulièrement pour les jeunes enfants. Contactez votre médecin. Tableau
de plage de fièvre inclus sur l’emballage.

• NE PAS permettre à l’enfant de marcher ou de courir pendant la prise de
température.
