AUTION: ALWAYS supervise your child when using the Digital Pacifier
Thermometer. Never allow your child to use it alone or without close
p

arental supervision. This product is not a toy.

1.P

ress and release the small button. A full LCD screen will dis­play for 2 seconds. After full display, last temperature meas­u

red will appear for 2 seconds. The display panel will flash to
i

ndicate that it is ready for insertion into the child’s mouth to
measure temperature. In the display will appear 188.8° F / 81.4°
C

, then 98.6° F / 37.0° C for about two seconds, and then “L”

w

ith the °F / °C symbol flashing.

2.Allow the child to suck on the Digital Pacifier Thermometer

f

or a minimum of 90 seconds. The thermometer will beep for
8 to 10 seconds when it reaches maximum temperature and
the °F / °C will stop flashing.

3.R

emove the Digital Pacifier Thermometer and read the tem-

perature indicated on display panel.

NOTE: It is not uncom-

mon fo

r infants to have a normal body temperature slightly

higher than the prescribed norm for adults.

4.To turn the thermometer off, press the button switch again.

In order to conserve battery life we recommend turning the
thermometer off after taking a reading. However the ther­mometer will automatically shut off after about 10 minutes.

5.If the measurement is interrupted for any reason, repeat the

above procedure.

6.H°F / H°C will be displayed when the temperature exceeds

109.9° F / 43.3° C.

IMPORTANT: Should the Digital Pacifier Thermometer
display H°F / H°C, the baby’s temperature is above 109.9° F / 43.3°
C. Proper medical attention should be sought immediately.

7. To recall the last temperature, press and hold the power button

for at least 3 seconds. The thermometer will run a built-in test.
The last temperature will be displayed with the letter “M”
under the degree sign. Release the power button and the
thermometer will return to the ready-to-measure mode.

CARE AND CLEANING:

•

Examine the pacifier bulb before each use for cracks, tears, tacki­ness or other signs of wear. Discard the worn unit immediately.

•

Do not attempt to pull or twist the nipple apart from the
body or detach button head as this will damage the ther­mometer’s sensitive temperature probe and electronics.

•

The thermometer may be sterilized by immersing the silicone
rubber nipple ONLY in sterilizing solution such as alcohol.
Immerse the nipple approximately 1 inch / 2.5 cm ONLY in the
solution. The protective clip-on plastic shield supplied may be
used as a container for this purpose.

•

The plastic parts of the thermometer may be wiped clean
with a soft cloth.

•

Use this thermometer for oral temperature measurements only.

WARNING: The pacifier thermometer should never be completely immersed
in sterilizing solution, or sterilized in boiling water, as damage will occur to
the electronic components.

TTENTION : Surveillez TOUJOURS votre enfant lorsque vous utilisez le

hermomètre-Sucette. Ne laissez jamais votre enfant l’utiliser seul ou sans

la supervision d’un parent. Ce produit n’est pas un jouet.

1.P

ressez et relâchez le petit bouton. L’écran ACL s’affichera
pendant 2 secondes puis le dernier relevé apparaîtra pendant
2 secondes. L’écran d’affichage clignotera indiquant que le
t

hermomètre est prêt à être placé dans la bouche de bébé
pour prendre la température. L’écran affichera 81,4° C / 188.8°
F, puis 37,0° C / 98.6° F pendant environ deux secondes, et
e

nsuite « L » et le symbole °C / °F clignotant.

2.Laissez votre enfant sucer le Thermomètre-Sucette au moins

9

0 secondes. Le thermomètre émettra un signal sonore pen-

d

ant 8 à 10 secondes lorsque le degré de température maxi-

male sera atteint et le °C / °F cessera de clignoter.

3.Enlevez le Thermomètre-Sucette et lisez la température

affichée sur l’écran.

REMARQUE : Il n’est pas exceptionnel que

l

a température corporelle normale des bébés soit légèrement
plus élev

ée que celle des adultes.

4.Pour éteindre le thermomètre, appuyez de nouveau sur l’in-

terrupteur. Afin de prolonger la durée des piles, il est conseillé
d’éteindre le thermomètre après chaque utilisation. Cependant,
il s’arrêtera automatiquement après 10 minutes environ.

5.Si la lecture est interrompue pour une raison quelconque,

répétez le processus.

6.H°C / H°F apparaîtra à l’écran lorsque la température

dépassera 43,3°C / 109.9° F.

IMPORTANT : Si H°C / H°F s’affiche,
cela signifie que la température du bébé dépasse 43,3° C / 109.9° F.
Vous devez consulter un médecin immédiatement.

7. Pour réafficher la dernière température obtenue, pressez le

bouton pendant au moins 3 secondes. Le thermomètre
effectuera une vérification interne. Le dernier relevé apparaîtra
avec la lettre «M» sous le symbole des degrés. Relâchez le bou­ton et le thermomètre sera prêt pour une prochaine utilisation.

SOIN ET ENTRETIEN :

•

Avant chaque utilisation, assurez-vous que l’embout ne montre ni
fentes, ni déchirures, ni viscosité ou autres signes d’usure. Jetez
immédiatement l’unité abîmée.

•

N’essayez pas de détacher la sucette ou de la dégager du reste
de l’appareil, ou de détacher le bouton, car cela endommagerait
la sonde de température qui est sensible ainsi que les éléments
électroniques du thermomètre.

•

Pour stériliser le thermomètre, plongez SEULEMENT la tétine en
caoutchouc de silicone dans une solution stérilisante comme de
l’alcool. Ne la plongez PAS dans plus de 2.5 cm / un pouce de
solution. L’étui protecteur en plastique muni d’une attache peut
être utilisé comme récipient pour cette tâche.

•

Les pièces en plastique du thermomètre peuvent être nettoyées
avec un linge doux.

•

N’utilisez ce thermomètre que pour obtenir des mesures de tem­pérature orale.

AVERTISSEMENT : Le Thermomètre-Sucette ne doit jamais être immergé
complètement dans une solution stérilisante, ni stérilisé dans l’eau bouil­lante, ce qui endommagerait les éléments électroniques.
