SAFE ELECTRONICS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NT,ST,TSS,HT – ME, MAXI – ME
When operating the safe, thoroughly follow the operating instructions step by step. When using the safe, never leave the emergency keys inside the safe. The keys are designed for the emergency opening of the safe, especially in case of forgetting
the code, electronics malfunction or discharged batteries. Keep the keys in a secure place out of the safe. In case of losing the keys, the safe manufacturer does not deliver spare keys.
When using the safe permanently, the manufacturer recommends anchoring the safe in its rear or bottom portion.
1 Basic information:
to open the safe, enter the valid six-digit code using the keypad
when the safe has accepted the valid code, a short beep sounds and the green LED goes on
the individual safe states are indicated by short melodies and by flashing LEDs
the safe is delivered locked up with a preset code of “00 00 00”
the safe is activated at the manufacturer by entering the “00 00 00” code and saving it in the safe’s memory
when replacing the batteries, it must be a pause of minimum two minutes between taking out the old batteries
and inserting the new ones
after replacing the batteries, the safe indicates its activation by flashing of all indication LEDs three times and by
playing the “Hello” melody
2 First unlocking of the safe:
to unlock the safe for the first time, enter the “00 00 00” code; after pushing a key, you will hear a beep
after the code above has been entered, the green LED goes on, a melody sounds, and the safe lock becomes
unblocked for a period of three seconds
during this 3-second period, unlock the safe lock by turning the hand wheel to the right stop
3 Entering a new code:
The manufacturer strongly recommends that you change the access code as soon as you start using the safe. To do so, please proceed as follows:
Warning: To enter a new code or change an old one is possible only when the safe door is opened (the
hand wheel is turned to the right stop).
insert the activator into the opening (INSERT AKTIVATOR) in the inner door cover and push it in for a
short time (or push the pushbutton on the inner door cover)
a melody and the green LED flashing indicate that the safe has entered the code enter/change mode
to enter a new six-digit code, push the numerical keys you have selected one after the other (do not use the
ENTER and CLEAR keys)
any valid pushing of a numerical key is indicated by a beep and flashing of the green LED
a new code has always six digits, when the last valid digit has been entered, the green LED goes permanently on
push the ENTER key, the new valid code will be saved
now the safe will play the “New code” melody and the green LED will go off; this indicates the new code has
been successfully entered and saved
if you make a mistake when entering a code, push the CLEAR key before saving the code; all the digits
already entered will be erased and you can begin entering a new code again
when entering a code, the maximum interval between entering two consecutive digits is six seconds; when this
2
time elapses, the red LED goes on for a short time, the safe plays a short melody and quits the code enter/change mode; the valid access code has not been changed, the original one is still accepted
now you can enter a new code again proceeding from the beginning of the item 3. above
4 Locking the safe up:
close the safe door and turn the hand wheel to the left stop, the safe will lock up automatically (the closing
mechanism will be blocked)
to make sure the safe is correctly locked up, try to turn the hand wheel to the left and to the right, if the
hand wheel remains in the position, the safe is really locked
now, the safe is locked up!
the safe can be unlocked only by entering the valid (last entered) six-digit code or by the emergency keys
5 Unlocking the safe:
to unlock the safe, enter the valid six-digit access code
any code digit entered is indicated with a beep
after you have entered the last code digit, the safe checks that the code is correct
if the code is correct, the green LED goes on and the safe lock gets unblocked
turn the safe hand wheel to the right stop, the safe gets unlocked and you can open the safe door; the safe lock
remains unblocked for 3 seconds, if you do not unlock it using the hand wheel within these 3 seconds, the lock gets blocked again automatically (and remains locked)
when the safe lock is unlocked, you can change the valid six-digit access code according to the item 3. above
(Entering a new code)
if the valid code is entered incorrectly, the red LED turns on for three seconds and the “Error” melody sounds
after three unsuccessful attempts, the safe will enter the “Hold” state where the safe electronics is blocked for an
interval of 10 minutes and no access code is accepted
in the “Hold” state, the safe will play the “Hold” melody and turn on the red LED for 3 seconds when any key is
pushed
when the 10 minutes interval has elapsed, it is possible to begin the safe unlocking procedure again
if the safe finds the batteries exhausted when the lock is being unlocked, it warns the user they should replace
the batteries by playing the “Error” melody and turning the orange LED on
6 Opening the safe in emergency:
if you forget the valid numerical code, the batteries get discharged or the safe electronics fails, the safe can be
opened by one of the emergency keys mentioned above
to open the safe using an emergency key, insert the key into the lock, turn it to the right, turn the hand wheel to
the right stop, and open the safe door
7 Checking the condition of the batteries:
the manufacturer strongly recommends that the condition of the batteries be checked every half a year starting
from the safe purchase date
the condition of the batteries is checked by pushing the ENTER pushbutton when the safe is locked up
if the capacity of the batteries is sufficient, the safe will play the “Hello” melody and all indication LEDs will
give three flashes
when the batteries are old and exhausted, the safe will play the “Error” melody and turn on the orange LED to
indicate the batteries should be replaced
four 1.5 VDC alkaline, C size batteries are used in the safe, always use the same type of batteries of the same
manufacturer
used batteries should be treated as dangerous, separated scrap
8 Malfunction of the electronics:
in case of the failure of the safe electronics, when the safe responds to the pushing of any key by playing the
Error“ melody and one or two flashes of the red LED or when it does not respond at all, please open the safe with an emergency key!
replace the batteries with new ones and follow the item 3. above (Entering a new code)
