Installation
Place the installation CD-ROM in the drive and double click the file: [TimeAttendantSetup].
The installer starts and after approval of the users licence conditions the file location is
determined. The standard location is c:\Program Files\Safescan\TA3. Click [Browse] to
change this location.
Then click [Next] to continue. The program is installed.
Click [Finish] to complete the installation.
Set up software
Fill in the license code (you can find the license on the CD “serial.txt)

If you don’t have a SuperAdmin configured (on the terminal) you will see this message.
If you forgot your password, you can press the forgot Pw button and re-enter the license code.
You can manually change a user to SuperAdmin in the software (Users/Departments) and
then you are required to create a password. (see the explanation for User)

You can change the language in the settings screen. Save and restart the program to load the
new language set up.

Version upgrade
When you already have users and logs in a previous software release you can create a backup
and restore the user and log files in the latest software.
Synchronisation
If you want to connect a terminal to your network via TCP/IP, you will need to assign the
terminal an unused IP address.
You have 2 options for this.
Option 1
In the settings screen click Scan for new devices. If it finds a new device, click on OK. If you
have a Comm. Key created on the terminal type in the Comm. Key.
Press Save and after that Refresh. When the terminal is connected the status will be green.
