CSB CIRCULAR SAW REPAIR SHEET
For Models CSB120, CSB130, CSB130JS and CSB1308
This kit contains the necessary parts and instruction sheet for the repair of all Ryobi brand circular saws with the model number of CSB120, CSB130, CSB130JS, and CSB1308.
REPAIR KIT CONTENTS:
Lower blade guard stop bracket (1 ea.) –
Lower blade guard handle (1 ea.) –
Instruction Sheet (1 ea.) – Not Shown
TO REMOVE BLADE
Unplug your circular saw.
WARNING:
Failure to unplug your saw could result in accidental starting causing possible serious personal injury.
Refer to your saw’s operator’s manual.
Depress the spindle lock to secure the blade, or place
the blade on a piece of scrap wood to hold the blade stationary.
Using the 9/16 in. blade wrench supplied with your saw, turn the blade bolt counterclockwise to loosen.
Remove the blade bolt, spring washer, outer blade washer , and blade.
TO INSTALL LOWER BLADE GUARD STOP BRACKET
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the right upper blade guard mounting screw.
Align hole in lower blade guard stop bracket with mounting hole where the screw has been removed.
Note: On some saws, the holes may not align perfectly. However, the holes will align during tightening.
T o prevent screw strippage or thread damage, apply light hand pressure and turn upper blade guard mounting screw counterclockwise one full turn or until screw threads seat. Then turn screw clockwise to tighten.
Tighten screw securely.

REPLACING LOWER BLADE GUARD HANDLE
See Figure 4.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure lower blade guard handle to lower blade guard.
Remove and discard your original lower blade guard handle.
Position your new replacement lower blade guard handle on lower blade guard as shown in figure 4.
Note: The new handle can be identified by the red marking on the inside of the handle.
Secure lower blade guard handle to lower blade guard using the two Phillips head screws removed above.
Tighten screws securely.
WARNING:
Failure to securely tighten lower blade guard handle screws could result in serious personal injury.
Reinstall blade on your circular saw. to your saw’s operator’s manual.
Place the outer blade washer and spring washer in place.
Tighten the blade bolt securely, using the 9/16 in. blade
wrench supplied with your saw.

Failure to place the outer blade washer and the spring washer in place or failure to tighten the blade bolt securely could result in serious personal injury.
Check for smooth operation of lower blade guard before plugging saw into power supply.
