FLEXIBLE SHAFT

For use with RYOBI PCL480, TVM01, RRT100, and
RRT200 Rotary Tools.
NOTE: Some flex shaft attachments are equipped with a traditional
nut and collet.
WARNING!
To reduce the risk of injury, user must read and understand the
operator’s manual for their rotary tool and this instruction sheet.
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply
with ANSI Z87.1. Ensure compatibility and fit before using this
accessory. Do not use this accessory if a part is damaged or
missing. If you are not comfortable performing any of the functions
described in these instructions, take your unit to an authorized
service center.
WARNING:
Never install, remove, or adjust any accessory while rotary tool
is running. Failure to stop the motor can cause serious personal
injury. Never operate rotary tool without an attachment head or
the collar installed.
WARNING:
Always hold the hand piece firmly in your hand. To avoid serious
injury, do not mount the flex shaft hand piece into any hobby
station.
Remove the battery pack from the rotary tool.
Engage the spindle lock and remove accessories and quick-change
collet according to the rotary tool operator’s manual.
Hold the collar firmly, then turn it counterclockwise to loosen and
remove.
Install the adaptor onto the rotary tool’s shaft.
Slide the collar of the flex shaft over the adaptor and onto the
threaded end of the tool.
NOTE: The square shaft inside the flex hose inserts into the square
hole in the adaptor.
Turn the collar clockwise and tighten securely.
Engage the spindle lock and thread the quick-change collet onto
the rotary pen.
Install accessory into quick-change collet. Refer to the Installing/
Removing Accessories in the rotary tool operator’s manual
NOTE: Ensure collet and accessory are secure.
To start bit rotation, hold the rotary pen in front and away from you
and turn the rotary tool on.
Lower the rotary pen gradually until the accessory contacts the
workpiece.
When finished, turn off the rotary tool.
NOTE: For organic material, a flex shaft accessory is required. Proper
cleaning and sanitizing is required after use. Any material including organic material cut or altered by this tool is not intended nor
suitable for human consumption.

manual.
Use the flexible shaft attachment to access hard to reach places and
perform precision work.
INSTALLING THE FLEXIBLE SHAFT
ATTACHMENT
See Figures 1 - 5.
The flexible shaft attachment connects directly to the threaded outlet
of the PCL480 rotary tool. For all other compatible rotary tools, follow
the steps below:

ACCESSOIRE D’ARBRE FLEXIBLE

Conçu pour être utilisé avec les outils rotatifs PCL480, TVM01,
RRT100, et RRT200 RYOBI.
NOTE : Certaines accessoires d’arbre flexible sont équipées d’une douille et
écrou de douille traditionnels.
AVERTISSEMENT!
Pour réduire les risques de blessures, l’utilisateur doit lire et veiller à bien
comprendre le manuel d’utilisation pour le outil rotatif ainsi que cette feuille
d’instruction. Toujours porter une protection oculaire munie d’écrans latéraux
certifiée conforme à la norme ANSI Z87.1. Assurez-vous de la compatibilité
et de l’ajustement avant d’utiliser cet accessoire. Ne pas utiliser cet accessoire si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes. Si vous n’êtes pas
à l’aise pour effectuer l’une ou l’autre des tâches décrites dans les présentes
instructions, confiez l’unité à un centre de réparations agréé.
AVERTISSEMENT :
Ne jamais installer, retirer ou régler une tête de l’accessoire lorsque l’outil
rotatif est en fonction. Le fait de ne pas arrêter le moteur peut causer des
blessures graves. Ne jamais faire fonctionner l’outil rotatif sans avoir installé
une tête de l’accessoire ou un collier au préalable.
AVERTISSEMENT :
Tenir toujours fermement la pièce à main dans votre main. Pour éviter toute
blessure grave, ne pas monter la pièce à main de l’arbre flexible dans une
station de bricolage.

portaherramienta y tuerca del portaherramientas tradicionales.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
Para reducir el riesgo de sufrir lesiones, el usuario debe leer y entender el
manual del operador para su herramienta rotatoria y esta hoja de instrucciones. Use siempre protección ocular con protecciones laterales con la
marca de cumplimiento de la norma Z87.1 del ANSI. Asegúrese de que la
compatibilidad y el ajuste sean correctos antes de usar este accesorio. No
use este accesorio si está dañado o si falta alguna pieza. Si no se siente
preparado para realizar alguna de las funciones que se describen en estas

INSTALLATION DU GUIDE ACCESSOIRE
D’ARBRE FLEXIBLE
Voir les figures 1 à 3 de l’autre côté.
L’accessoire d’arbre flexible se connecte directement à la sortie filetée de l’outil
rotatif PCL480. Pour tous les autres outils rotatifs compatibles, suivre les étapes
ci-dessous :
Retirer le bloc de piles de l’outil rotatif.
Engager le blocage de la broche et retirer les accessoires et le collet à
changement rapide conformément à ce qui est indiqué dans le manuel
d’utilisation de l’outil rotatif.
Installer l’adaptateur sur l’arbre de l’outil rotatif.
Faire glisser le collier de l’arbre flexible sur l’adaptateur et sur l’extrémité
filetée de l’outil.
NOTE : La tige carrée à l’intérieur du tuyau flexible s’insère dans le trou
carré de la sortie.
Tourner le col dans le sens horaire et serrer fermement.
Engager le blocage de la broche et visser le collet à changement rapide sur
le stylo rotatif.
Installer l’accessoire dans le collet à changement. Se conformer aux
instructions de la section Installation/retrait des accessoires au manuel
d’utilisation de l’outil rotatif.
NOTE: S’assurer que le collet et l’accessoire sont sécurisés.
Pour démarrer la rotation de la douille, tenir le stylo rotatif devant et loin de
vous avant d’allumer l’outil rotatif.
Abaisser progressivement le stylo rotatif jusqu’à ce que l’accessoire entre
en contact avec la pièce.
Lorsque vous avez terminé, éteindre l’outil rotatif.
NOTE : Pour les matériaux organiques, un accessoire d’arbre flexible est
nécessaire. Un nettoyage et une désinfection appropriés sont nécessaires après
utilisation. Tout matériau, y compris les matières organiques, coupé ou altéré par
cet outil n’est ni destiné ni adapté à la consommation humaine.

Para evitar lesiones serias, nunca use una broca de fresadora en el accesorio

Vea las figuras 1 a 3 en el otro lado.
El accesorio de tubo flexible se conecta directamente a la salida roscada de
la herramienta giratoria PCL480. Para todas las demás herramientas giratorias
compatibles, siga los siguientes pasos:
Retire de la herramienta giratoria el paquete de baterías.
Enganche el bloqueo del husillo y retire los accesorios y el portabroca de
cambio rápido de acuerdo con el manual del operador de la herramienta
giratoria.
Instale el adaptador en el tubo de la herramienta giratoria.
Deslice el collar del tubo flexible sobre el adaptador y sobre el extremo
roscado de la herramienta.
NOTA: El vástago cuadrado que está dentro de la manguera flexible se
inserta en el orificio cuadrado del adaptador.
Rósquelo en sentido horario y ajústelo con firmeza.
Enganche el bloqueo del husillo y enrosque el portaherramientas de cambio
rápido del lápiz giratorio.
Instale el accesorio en el portaherramientas de cambio rápido. Siga las
instrucciones señaladas en la sección Instalación/desmontaje de los
accesorios de este manual del operador de la herramienta giratoria
Para iniciar la rotación de la broca, sostenga el lápiz giratorio frente a usted
de forma alejada y encienda la herramienta giratoria.
Baje el lápiz giratorio gradualmente hasta que el accesorio entre en contacto
con la pieza de trabajo.
Cuando termine, apague la herramienta giratoria.
NOTA: Para material orgánico, se requiere un accesorio de eje flexible. Se
requiere una limpieza y desinfección adecuadas después del uso. Cualquier
material, incluido material orgánico, cortado o alterado por esta herramienta
no está destinado ni es apto para el consumo humano.
