Connection Instructions
1. Strip about 1/4” of insulation from the ends
of all wires to be connected to the unit. If
necessary, twist the exposed strands to
insure that no loose strands exist.
2. Refer to the three connection diagrams on
the reverse side for connection
configurations.
Figures 1-3 depict three connection scenarios
using the AB-1.2 and AB-2.2.
Figure 1: Shows how to connect two
amp/receivers and one pair of
speakers to the AB-1.2.
Figure 2: Shows how to connect one
amp/receiver and two pair of speakers
to the AB-1.2.
Figure 3: Shows how to connect one local
amp/receiver, one multi-zone audio
distribution amp and one pair of local
speakers to the AB-2.2.
NOTE: The AB-1.2 and AB-2.2 function in the
same way. Either unit can be used in these configurations, depending on if a wall-mount (AB-1.2) or
shelf-mount (AB-2.2) style is desired.
Limited Warranty
The Russound AB-1.2 and AB-2.2 are fully guaranteed
for ten (10) years from the date of purchase against all
defects in materials and workmanship. For this warranty to apply, the unit must be installed and used according to its written instructions.
During this period, Russound will replace any defective
parts and correct any defect in workmanship without
charge for either parts or labor. Accidental damage and
shipping damage are not considered defects under the
terms of this warranty. Russound assumes no responsibility for defects resulting from abuse or servicing performed by an agency or person not specifically authorized in writing by Russound. If service is necessary, it
must be performed by Russound. Damage to or
destruction of components due to excessive power
voids the warranty. In these cases, the repair will be
made at the owner’s expense.
To return for repairs, the unit must be shipped to
Russound at the owner’s expense, along with a note
explaining the nature of the service required. Be sure to
pack in a corrugated container with at least 3 inches of
resilient material to protect the unit from damage in
transit.
Before returning a unit for repair, call Russound at (603)
659-5170 for a Return Authorization number. Write the
RA number on the shipping label and ship to:
Russound, ATTN: Service, 5 Forbes Road, Newmarket

Russound sells product only through authorized Dealers
and Distributors to ensure that customers obtain proper support and service. Any Russound product purchased from an unauthorized dealer or other source,

Dual Source Selector Switch
Instruction Manual
Product Overview
The AB-1.2 and AB-2.2 are dual-source selector
switches that allow a single pair of speakers to be
driven by either of two amplifiers or allow a single
amplifier to drive either of two pair of speakers.
The AB-1.2 and AB-2.2 are well-suited for situations where a local source such as a TV or amp
shares a pair of speakers with the whole-house
sound distribution system. The AB-1.2 and
AB-2.2 can also be used in settings where one
system powers two pair of speakers, each pair
located in a different area.
The AB-1.2 is a single-gang in-wall unit and the
AB-2.2 is a tabletop unit. Each unit has a push-on,
push-off button to switch between dual amplifiers
or dual speaker pairs.
