BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using your appliance for the first time take it out of the box and take off any protective wrappings. REMEMBER: DO NOT LEAVE PROTECTIVE PACKAGING LYING AROUND, AS IT COULD BE DANGEROUS AROUND INFANTS. Wash the bowl, jug, lid and cap in warm soapy water, rinse well and dry. NOTE: The blades are sharp, handle with care.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SWITCH ON
Place the motor unit on a dry, firm, level surface, near a power socket.  Check that the speed control is set to 0.  Put the plug into the power socket.
SPEED CONTROL
Turn the speed control to the speed you want (1 = low, 2 = high). Turn the speed
control back to 0 to turn the motor off.
Generally, large quantities, thick mixes, and a high ratio of solids to liquids suggest
longer timings and slower speeds.
Smaller quantities, thinner mixes, and more liquids than solids suggest shorter timings
and higher speeds.
Do not run the motor for more than 1 minute, or it may overheat. After 1 minute, switch
off for at least 2 minutes, to let the motor cool.
PULSE
Turning the speed control anti-clockwise will give you a short burst at high speed. In
this direction, the knob is spring-loaded. When you let go, it will return to 0.
USING THE BLENDER
Align the “arrow” on the bottom of the blender jug with the “open lock” on the motor
unit.
Lower the jug onto the motor body, then turn the jug to align the “arrow” with the
“closed lock”.
Pull the lever to open the lid.  Put the ingredients into the jug.
Page 7
Do not fill past the 1500ml mark. If you do, the contents may force the lid off when you
start the motor. Close the lid.
Align the slots on the cap with the slots in the hole, fit the cap, and turn it clockwise to
lock it.
To add ingredients while the blender is working, remove the cap, pour the ingredients
through the hole, then replace the cap.
Check that the added ingredients do not push the volume in the jug past the 1500ml
mark.
USING THE PROCESSOR
Switch the appliance off (0) and unplug it.  Fit the spindle to the top of the motor unit.  Align the “arrow” on the bottom of the bowl with the “open lock” on the motor unit.  Lower the bowl on to the motor unit, then turn the bowl to align the “arrow” with the
“closed lock”.
Turn the lid to bring the “arrow” on the lid over the “open lock” on the bowl, and lift the
lid off. Choose the attachment you need.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT ATTACHMENT
Use the stainless steel chopping blade to pulverize ingredients.  Use the dough tool to mix ingredients together.  Use the creamer to thicken cream, to beat eggs, and to cream eggs and sugar
together.
Fit the selected attachment over the removable drive attachment, and slide it to the
bottom.
Lower the removable drive attachment into the centre of the jug, over the spindle. Put
the ingredients into the jug.
Do not fill past the 1500ml mark. If you do, the contents may force the lid off when you
start the motor.
Replace the lid, and turn it to bring the “arrow” on the lid over the “closed lock” on the
jug, to lock it in place.
To add ingredients while the motor is running: lift the pusher out of the feed chute, add
the ingredients via the feed chute, replace the pusher.
Page 8
USING THE GRATING / SLICING ATTACHMENT
To fit the slicer or grater to the disc: insert the selected attachment into the centre of
the disc, lower the slicer/grater into the disc, secure the latch over the edge of the disc.
Lower the disc over the top of the spindle.  Replace the lid, and turn it to bring the “arrow” on the lid over the “closed lock” on the
jug, to lock it in place.
Remove the pusher, and slide the ingredients down the feed chute.  Replace the pusher, and use it to push the ingredients gently down the feed chute.  Do not use fingers or cutlery to push food down the feed chute – only the pusher.  The blade on top of the disc will slice or grate the food into the jug.  Do not let the jug get more than about half full – stop and empty it.  To remove the slicer or grater from the disc, ease the latch away from the side of the
disc, and lift the slicer/grater off.
USING THE MILL
Turn the mill base and bowl upside down.  Put the goods to be ground into the bowl – dry goods only.  Lower the mill base on to the bowl, then twist the base to the right, to lock it in place.  Turn the combined mill base and bowl the right way up.  Align the “arrow” on the bottom of the mill base with the “open lock” on the motor unit. Lower the mill on to the motor unit, then turn, to align the “arrow” with the “closed lock”. Turn the speed control in short bursts until you achieve the size of grind you want.  Turn the mill base to align the “arrow” with the “open lock”, and lift it off the motor unit. Turn the mill base and bowl upside down.
Page 9
Tap the bowl a couple of times to move all the grounds into the bowl. Hold the bowl,
turn the mill base clockwise, and lift it off.
