Setting the DIP Switches
(RS-RT03K4C 4 Channel Kit)
• On the 4 channel kit, adjust the
DIP switches on both the transmitter
and receiver to the same position.
Up to 4 channels can be selected.
The factory default position has all 4
switches in the off position. The
adjustment to different channels will
allow this device to be used in the
same area as other transmitters.
Using your Remote Trigger
Transmitter
• Install the transmitter on the
camera accessory shoe. If your
camera has a “hot” shoe, no cord is
needed. Set the proper synch
speed on your camera.
• If your camera does not have a
“hot” shoe, and uses a PC cord, one
is supplied in the kit. Simply insert
the PC cord into the side of the
transmitter, and the other end into
the PC synch outlet on your
camera.
Receiver
• Plug the mono plug into the synch
outlet on the back of the flash unit.
This is the outlet where you would
normally plug in your synch cord.
• Many flash units have sensor cells
which allow the simultaneous firing
of several units. Check your flash
manual for more information.

•Turn on the power for the receiver.
• If your flash unit uses a 3.5
mini-plug, insert the mono-plug to
mini plug adapter onto the cord and
then plug into the synch outlet on the back of the flash. The
flash is now ready to be powered on.
• You can also use this with smaller
flash units which do not have either
a mono plug or mini plug synch
assuming they have a standard PC
cord. Plug the flash unit’s PC cord
into the PC outlet on the back of the
receiver.
• With the transmitter mounted on
the camera and the receiver plugged into the flash unit and
turned on, the wireless trigger will activate your flash with
each exposure you make.
• Test button. If you want to test the flash without taking an
exposure, push the test button on the transmitter.
Range of Use
The wireless transmitter uses RF (Radio Frequency) waves
to transmit a signal to the receiver. As a result the effective
distance can vary greatly depending upon the environmental
conditions, including walls, obstructions, etc. Also, wireless
networks, cell phone towers, and some cordless phone
systems can interfere with the signal. If the effective range is
decreased, try changing the DIP settings or move to another
location. This is not considered a defect. As the batteries
weaken, your effective range may decrease. Try using fresh
batteries.
Deactivating the Unit
• To turn off the power on the receiver, push the on/off switch
to the off position. There is no on/off power switch on the
transmitter.
• If the unit will not be used for some time, remove the
batteries.
