1. PURPOSE
This document provides instructions to ensure that the Roxar subsea Sand monitor or the Roxar
subsea Pig detector is properly installed, configured and put into service in accordance with the Roxar
guidelines. Installation and functional verification are described step by step. This document also
includes check sheets to be filled in and signed by those responsible for the commissioning.

2.2 Definitions
Retrievable detector unit Complete detector unit with ROV handle and spring loaded locking
with Non-retrievable detector unit. (Fixture to be installed
that is terminated to an MKII fitting adapter at one end (connected to
the detector) and a subsea instrumentation connector at the other end
(connected to the SEM). (If the detector is equipped with a bulkhead
connector instead a harness assembly, the jumper could be a
