Before use, read the instructions for use and the safety instructions carefully.

You have just purchased a technically innovative product!
It is normally necessary to practise using the appliance 2 or 3 times before being able to master
the technique for use perfectly.

Brush Activ’ is a rotating drying brush, especially designed so that you can blow dry your hair effortle-

ssly and in a single move – quicker and easier than traditional blow drying.

Brush Activ’ lets you dry and style your hair at the same time, giving a perfect result both at the front

and at the back of your hairstyle.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (Low
Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).

• Check that your electrical supply voltage corresponds to the rated voltage of your appliance. Any
connection error can cause irreversible damage that is not covered by the warranty.

• Do not use your appliance and contact an Approved Service Centre in the following cases:

- if your appliance has been dropped or fallen to the floor,

- if it does not function normally.

• Never use your appliance with wet hands or near water in baths, wash basins etc.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, disconnect it after use. The presence of water
can be dangerous, even when it is switched off.

• The appliance must be disconnected under the following circumstances:

- before cleaning and care,

- if it does not function correctly,

- once you have finished using it,

- if you leave the room, even for a few moments.

• For additional protection, it is recommended that a residual current circuit breaker (RCB) with a rated
trip current differential of no more than 30 mA should be installed in the circuit supplying the bathroom.
Consult your electrician for advice.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid any danger.

• Your appliance can only be repaired with the aid of special tools.

• The appliance is fitted with a thermal safety system.
In the event that the appliance overheats, it will turn off automatically; contact the after-sales service.
WARRANTY
Your appliance is intended only for domestic use.
It may not be used for professional purposes.
Incorrect use renders the warranty null and void.

3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

PROTECTING THE BRUSHES:
The softness of the bristles has been especially
selected for optimum effect while respecting the
condition of your hair.

- To keep the brushes effective, always return them
to their protectors (L) after use.

- Opening / closing the protectors.

FITTING THE BRUSHES AND REMO­VING THEM FROM THE APPLIANCE
(B):

- Remove the protector

- Push the brush on until it clicks home.

- To remove: press button (B) and pull off the
brush.

AIR TEMPERATURE / SPEED (C):

Air temperature / speed settings:

- Level 0: appliance off

- Level 1: moderate temperature and airflow

- Level 2: higher temperature and airflow

DIRECTION OF ROTATION (D):

This function enables you to automatically
wind the section of hair around the brush to
blow dry your hair effortlessly.

- To start rotation, press the selector switch (D) in
the desired direction of rotation (right or left).

- Keep pressing the switch while blow drying.

- To stop rotation, release the switch.

SPEED OF ROTATION (E):

Your appliance has a speed control for the brush rotation (E) - 13 positions ­to adjust it to suit your hair.

- To increase the speed, turn knob (E) to the right,

- to decrease it, turn knob (E) to the left.

HOW TO USE YOUR BRUSH:

This is the basic technique of blow drying.

DRYING AND STYLING IN ONE GO!

- After washing your hair, dry it well in a towel and carefully untangle it.

Do not use your brush on tangled or backcombed hair or on hair extensions.

- You can pre-dry your hair using the dryer function (C), position 2, (without brush) but leaving
your hair damp.

- Divide your hair into individual sections a few centimetres wide (see booklet "professional tips")
and work on one section at a time. You can use clips to hold up the other sections of hair.

- Fit the brush (large or small diameter, depending on the length of your hair and the desired
effect) to the body of the appliance, pushing it until it clicks home.

- Select the air temperature and flow rate (C): position 1 or 2 depending on your hair type.

- Choose the speed of rotation (E).

Bring the brush against the section of hair: the section will automatically wind itself around the
brush in a smooth, continuous movement.

4. CARE

NOTE! Always disconnect the appliance before cleaning.

Cleaning the appliance and brushes:

- your appliance requires very little care, it can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth,

- never use alcohol to clean your appliance,

- never immerse the appliance or
brushes in water,

- take care to dry the parts that you
have just cleaned,

- from time to time carefully remove
any hair left in the brushes.

5. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FIRST !

Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.

6. IN THE EVENT OF A PROBLEM

•

"My hair gets tangled":

1. Did you untangle your hair properly?

2. Did you separate the sections well before working on them?

3. You can stop the brush rotation at any time by releasing the control button (D), or by reversing
the direction of rotation. The brush can then be released from the body of the appliance to free
the hair.

•

"The brush is not rotating fast enough!".

Try adjusting the speed control "E".

•

"The brush stopped rotating".

1. Remember that your hair must be pre-dried and untangled.

2. Is the section too thick? Work on a smaller section.

•

"My appliance has stopped working".

The thermal safety device has tripped.

1. Unplug the appliance.

2. Leave it to cool for about 30 minutes before using it again.

3. If the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

•

"The bristles of the brush are lying flat".

It is important to put the brushes away in the protec-

tors supplied for this after every use.

- If the bristles were flattened before use, they will straighten naturally during blow drying thanks
to the combination of automatic rotation and hot air.

Un temps d’apprentissage (2 à 3 séances) est normalement nécessaire avant d’en maîtriser

un résultat parfait, à l’avant comme à l’arrière de la tête.

2. CONSEILS DE SECURITE

• Pour votre sécurité, cet appareil est conforme aux normes et réglementations applicables (Directives
Basse Tension, Compatibilité Electromagnétique, Environnement…).

• Vérifiez que la tension de votre installation électrique corresponde à celle de votre appareil. Toute
erreur de branchement peut causer des dommages irréversibles, qui ne sont pas couverts par la garan­tie.

• N’utilisez pas votre appareil et contactez un Centre Service Agréé si :

- votre appareil est tombé

- s’il ne fonctionne pas normalement.

• N’utilisez jamais votre appareil avec les mains mouillées ou à proximité de l’eau contenue dans des
baignoires, lavabos ou autres récipients...

• Lorsque l’appareil est utilisé dans une salle de bain, débranchez-le après usage car la proximité de
l’eau peut présenter un danger même lorsqu’il est arrêté.

• L’appareil doit être débranché :

- avant le nettoyage et l’entretien.

- en cas d’anomalie de fonctionnement

- dès que vous avez terminé de l’utiliser

- si vous vous absentez, même quelques instants.

• Pour assurer une protection supplémentaire, il est préconisé d’installer, dans le circuit électrique ali­mentant la salle de bain, un dispositif à courant différentiel résiduel (DDR) de courant différentiel de
fonctionnement assigné n’excédant pas 30 mA. Demandez conseil à votre installateur.

• Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après­vente ou une personne de qualification similaire, afin d’éviter un danger.

• Votre appareil ne peut être réparé qu’au moyen d’outils spéciaux.

• L’appareil est équipé d’un système de sécurité thermique.
En cas de surchauffe, l’appareil s’arrêtera automatiquement : contactez le SAV.
GARANTIE
Votre appareil est destiné à un usage domestique seulement.
Il ne peut être utilisé à des fins professionnelles.
La garantie devient nulle et invalide en cas d’utilisation incorrecte.

3. CONSEILS D’UTILISATION

PROTECTION DES BROSSES :
La souplesse des poils des brosses a été spéciale­ment conçue pour une efficacité optimale, tout en
préservant la nature de vos cheveux.

- Pour conserver l’efficacité des brosses, replacez­les impérativement dans leur protection (L), après
chaque utilisation.

- Ouverture / fermeture des protecteurs.

MISE EN PLACE ET RETRAIT DES
BROSSES DE L’APPAREIL (B) :

- Otez le protecteur

- Emboîtez la brosse jusqu’au CLIC.

- Pour le retrait : appuyez sur le bouton (B) et
tirez la brosse.

TEMPERATURE / VITESSES D’AIR (C) :

Réglage température / vitesses d’air :

- Niveau 0 : arrêt de l’appareil

- Niveau 1 : température et flux d’air modérés

- Niveau 2 : température et flux d’air plus intenses

SENS DE ROTATION (D) :

Cette fonction vous permet d’enrouler automa­tiquement la mèche de cheveux autour de la
brosse, pour réaliser votre brushing sans effort.

- Pour déclencher la rotation, pousser le sélecteur
(D) dans le sens de rotation désiré (droite ou gau­che).

- Maintenir la pression pendant le brushing

- Pour stopper la rotation, relâchez la pression.

CLIC!

VITESSES DE ROTATION (E) :

Votre appareil possède un variateur de vitesse de rotation des brosses - 13
Positions - (E) à adapter en fonction de votre chevelure.

- Pour augmenter cette vitesse, il convient de tourner le bouton (E) vers la
droite.

- Pour la diminuer, tournez le bouton (E) vers la gauche.

COMMENT UTILISER L’APPAREIL ? :

Voici la technique de base pour réussir votre brushing. Vous trouverez également dans ce livret,
tous les Conseils et Astuces de coiffeur, pour réaliser votre style de coiffure.

SECHAGE ET MISE EN FORME SIMULTANES !

- Après votre shampoing, bien essorer vos cheveux dans une serviette et les démêler soigneuse­ment.

Ne pas utiliser votre appareil sur des cheveux emmêlés, crêpés, ou sur des rajouts de cheveux.

- Vous avez la possibilité de pré séchez vos cheveux grâce à la fonction séchage (C), position 2,
(sans brosse) en conservant un cheveu humide.

- Divisez votre chevelure en mèches individuelles de quelques centimètres (cf. chapitre « Astuces du

coiffeur ») et travaillez les mèches une par une. Vous pouvez utiliser des pinces pour retenir les

autres mèches de cheveux.

- Mettre en place la brosse (gros ou petit diamètre suivant votre longueur de cheveux et l’effet
désiré) sur le corps de l’appareil, en l’emboîtant jusqu’au CLIC.
