Repairs should only be carried out by a quali ed technician.
Before use, all components should be mounted correctly. On no account should explosive or poisonous
liquids, glowing ash or petrol be sucked up (danger of explosion).
Warning, deadly danger! The suction head (1) should never be dipped into water or any other liquid!
The suction head (1) should never be held under running water and always be protected against being
splashed! In order to clean, pull out the plug (1.3) and wipe the suction head (1) with a slightly damp cloth.
Always clean the pond suction cleaner after you have nished work, never clean it before you start work!
Always unroll the electricity connection cable (1.3) completely before starting suction operations. Never use
the electricity connection cable (1.3) to pull the suction cleaner. Take care that the electricity connection cable
(1.3) does not get trapped, squashed or driven over. This could damage the insulation. Only connect the
pond suction cleaner to a properly installed 230 V plug with a protected contact socket which is tted with a
(FI 30mA, RCD) circuit breaker (VDE 0100T739). If you should need an extension cable, make sure that the
extension cable is capable of handling the current needed for the pond suction cleaner. Cable drums should
be unrolled completely to avoid overheating.
Remove the mains plug from the mains socket:
– in order to clean the pond suction cleaner
– in order to clean the dirt pump (2.1)
– in order to clean the collecting tank (2)
– if the appliance breaks down
– when the appliance is not being used
Special safety guidelines!
Danger arising from unsuitable transport of the appliance!
1. When transporting, please note that the appliance weighs 30 kg.
2. The suction cleaner has handles at the side and on the front in addition to a push bar. Use the handles
when transporting and make sure the cleaner cannot slip.
Danger arising from the suction operation of the cleaners!
Never hold the suction nozzle to body openings or against the skin as this can cause injury.
Danger arising from working with the dirty water pump! Never put your hand into the dirty water pump while
the appliance is switched on. This can cause severe injuries to ngers.
Danger during cleaning in the water being cleaned!
During the cleaning process, nobody should be in the pool/pond being cleaned.
Danger arising from inadequate stability!
1. Please ensure that the area where the appliance is standing is large enough and secure the appliance
against falling over.
2. The suction cleaner has securable wheels. Make sure the brake is engaged, the cleaner is set up on solid
ground and that the hoses are lying in such a way that any tugging on them does not tip over the cleaner.
Danger arising from incorrect maintenance procedure!
Warning! There is a danger of an unsupervised appliance starting unexpectedly. Before starting maintenance
work always remove the power plug from the mains!
Danger arising when persons, e.g. children, use the appliance improperly!
Please make sure that the appliance is only used when under supervision, read the operating instructions
carefully before using or instructing staff, never leave children alone with the appliance.
Please note!
The pond suction cleaner is provided with a safety cut-out switch. Suction operations will be interrupted if the
liquid in the tank (2) reaches too high a level and then trips the safety cut-out switch.
Remove the dirt or any foreign bodies in front of the suction opening of the dirt pump (2.1)
(Pull out the mains plug). See Cleaning the dirt pump.
Never reach into the suction opening while the dirt pump (2.1) is running (danger of extreme injury).
The pond suction cleaner produces an enormous suction power when running! Never come into contact with
the suction opening!
Never point the suction opening at persons or animals!
If the appliance should tip over when operating, remove the mains plug immediately. Set up the appliance
again, turn the I/O switch (1.2) to the position OFF (Aus) and empty the tank.
Before resuming work, make sure that no liquid has leaked into the suction head.
