1. Introduction
The ME-01P14 Single-Board Self-Powered Metal Enclosure is a sturdy,
lockable, metal case that has room for a single PCB board along with a
power supply and backup battery.
The ME-01P14 is suitable for the various ExpansE™ units, EXP-1032
Network Controllers known as an MU, and the various EUs: EXP-2024
Dual Reader Door Unit, EXP-2016 16-Relay Elevator Control Unit, and
EXP-2088 – 8-Inputs/Outputs Interface. In addition, it is suitable for use
with Rosslare’s AC-215, AC-225, and AC-425 access control units.

3. Installation
3.1 Installing the ME-01P14
Wire the power, backup battery, and tamper as described below.
1. Connect the PS-14 power supply to the power terminal block
(Figure 2).

2. Connect the backup battery to the battery terminal block.
3. Connect the ME-01P14’s tamper switch to the PCB’s tamper input
terminal block.
4. Wire the unit being installed according to the wiring instructions as
explained in the relevant installer manual.
5. Place the PCB and secure it using the designated holes and spacers
clearly marked on the inside of the enclosure.
6. Thread the wires through the designated holes and springs (Figure
3).

3.2 Mounting the ME-01P14
When selecting an area for mounting the ME-01P14, ensure the
location is flat.
1. Using the holes dimensions and locations shown in Figure 4, drill
holes in the wall.

2. Insert masonry anchors into the drilled holes.
3. Mount the ME-01P14 enclosure onto the wall as shown in Figure
5.

4. Mount the board in the enclosure using the spacers supplied.
5. Connect the in-box power and backup battery as explained in
Section 3.2.
6. Close and secure the enclosure.
