The following Manual Supplement contains step by step instructions for
removing the junction box from a sensor (Rosemount 8705 or 8711) and
installing a Rosemount 8732E integral transmitter.

Tools Required •

3

/16-in. bent allen wrench

• Small slot tip screwdriver

Step 1: Remove bolts Using the allen head wrench, remove the four bolts holding the junction box

onto the sensor. Set the bolts aside for later use.

Step 2: Remove junction box

Remove the junction box exposing the terminal block of the sensor. Note that
there is an o-ring in a retaining groove on the pedestal of the sensor. Make
sure that the o-ring stays in place.

NOTE

Make sure the terminal block openings are all the way open.

Step 3: Insert wire harness pins

Position the transmitter to allow for the insertion of the wire harness pins to be
installed into the terminal block of the sensor.
