1 About this guide

This guide provides instructions for installing a hygienic process connection adapter on Rosemount 326, 327, and 1408 transmitters with G1 process connectors. The following adapters are covered by this guide:

1.1 Safety instructions

If the operating instructions or the technical data are not adhered
to, personal injury and/or damage to property might occur.

consequences caused by tampering with the product or incorrect use by the operator.
Installation, electrical connection, set-up, operation and
maintenance of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.

1.2 Hygienic adapter O-ring

The adapter comes with an EPDM O-ring. More O-rings are available as accessories. See each product's Product Data Sheet for more information.

2 Install the adapter

Prerequisites
Use a new adapter when replacing a PEEK sealing ring or changing from a PEEK seal to O-ring sealing.
Procedure
Place the O-ring in the groove of the transmitter.

Note
Be careful not to scratch or damage the surfaces of the transmitter.
2. Grease the transmitter thread with lubricating paste.
Note
The paste must be approved for the application and compatible with the elastomers used.
