Proper care must be taken to protect the air tight seal of the detector (at the
joints where the inlet and exhaust tubes connect to the body of the detector or
at the joint where the two body halves meet) by grasping the tubing between the
detector and the area to be bent. If not, damage may occur.

UBE BENDING
Refer to Figure 1.
1. Support the detector by grasping the tube at point A.
2. Grasp the detector tube at point B.
3. Bend the tube to proper shape at point C.

ETECTOR ALIGNMENT
Proper alignment of detector to magnet assembly, supply and exhaust tubing is critical
to prevent damage to the detector seals before joining these components together.
is vital that they mate without exerting force on the joints.
Various instrument models will require different bending of the tubing for proper fit.
Refer to Figure 2.
1. Twist coil to line up with detector tubing.
2. Stretch coil to fit.
