Miro/Braq Preset Remote
Immediate color and dimming control of your
Miro Cube™ or Braq Cube™ from an easy handheld interface.
The Miro Preset Remote makes it simple to call up a color
or color temperature and then dial in the brightness to just
the level needed. Perfect for party planners who need to
match a color theme, photographers and lm-makers
looking to set a color temperature or anytime it’s
inconvenient to access the back panel interface of the
Cube or set up a full lighting console.
The Preset Remote is intended to control a single xture, or a
DMX daisy chain of slaved xtures, all controlled identically. Each
Miro/Braq unit must be set in DMX Mode, Address 001.
The Preset Remote oers three operation Modes depending on which Cube you are using and what quality of light you
want to dial in.
Mode 1 – Kelvin (WNC), only for use with Miro/Braq WNC, sets white light CCT for a Miro/Braq WNC unit. Choose from
10 preset color temperatures and then smoothly dim from 0 to 100 by adjusting the knob. A quick center press will
toggle the unit to blackout and back.
Mode 2 – Kelvin (4C), only for use with Miro/Braq 4C, sets white light CCT for a Miro/Braq 4C unit. Using the full palette
available from the RGBW quad chip in the 4C units, select from among 10 predetermined color temperatures to achieve
a attering, white light. Full dimming and on/o available using the adjustment knob.
Mode 3 – Color (4C), only for use with the Miro/Braq 4C, selects from a predetermined palette of 36 saturated and pale
colors allowing the user to quickly choose and set color output for the 4C. Full dimming and on/o available using the
adjustment knob.
QUICK START
1. Configure the Miro/Braq cube into DMX Mode. Set to
DMX Addr 001. Connect 5 pin DMX cable from Preset
Remote to DMX Input on Cube.
2. Attach 12vDC power supply to Preset Remote and plug
into mains power.
3. Press and Hold knob to enter Set-Up Mode.
4. Rotate knob to select Operation Mode desired. Press
once to confirm selection.
5. Rotate knob to select secondary options: Kelvin CCT
Preset or Color Selection. Press once to confirm
selection. This exits set up mode.
6. Rotate knob to dim from 0 to 100%.
7. Press knob once to immediately black-out fixture(s).
Press again to exit BO mode.
8. To change paramaters, repeat process. It is not
possible to adjust CCT or Color selection without
reselecting Operating Mode.
Note: Miro/Braq Cubes are designed to hold their last state
in the event of a loss of DMX signal. It is therefore
possible to use the Preset Remote to configure a
Miro/Braq cube and then disconnect the DMX cable. The
unit will hold its setting and the Preset Remote can be
used configure another fixture. However, if power is lost
to the fixture, the DMX state will be lost when the fixture
is powered back on.
