ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
An adequate electrical supply outlet must be provrded to operate your
oven. Check with the local utilities for all electrical codes. In the absence of local codes, the National Electrical Code NFPA No. 70 must be
followed. A copy may be obtained by writing:

A standard 120 volt, 60 cycle AC house current is required to operate
your oven. The oven cord has a three prong plug and must be used
with a properly grounded three hole outlet. Fig. 1 shows the preferred
method of electrical hook-up. If such an outlet is not available, have a
qualified electrician change your present outlet or install a new one.

Remove Grounding Prong from Oven Cord. (See Fig. 2.)

As a temporary measure, a grounding adaptor plug may be used to convert a two hole outlet to a three hole outlet (Fig. 2). It may be used only
if the outlet is properly polarized and grounded. Have a qualified electri-
cian verify that the outlet meets all requirements,
Remember to remove the electrical plug from the outlet before cleaning
your oven. When removing, grasp the plug, not the cord.
It is recommended that the microwave oven be installed on a separate
circuit and fused with a 15 amp. fuse.
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension
cords may be used if care is exercised In their use. If an extension cord
is used, the marked electrical rating of the cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord and be arranged so as not to drape over
the countertop or table top when It can be pulled on by children or
tripped over accidentally.

1. The unit must be level for proper operation. Feet must not be removed
from the unit.
2. ‘four new microwave oven can be set on any flat counter or surface,
wherever it is most convenient to use.
3. Ideal location - The unit may be installed with one oven side wall
flush to a cabinet or existing wall (preferably the side wall containing
the control panel to allow maximum door opening) and one inch from
the rear wall.
CAUTION: The air louvers on top of the microwave oven must be
unobstructed at all times for proper operation.
