OPERATING GUIDE
CLOCK To set:
1. Push in and turn the clock face knob lo the correct time of day.
2. Turn the clock face knob, without pushing in, to reset the timer hand to OFF.
TIMER The timer may be set for any amount of
time from 1 minute to 60 minutes. Turn the clock face knob, without pushing in, to set the timer hand to the desired time. When time is up, a signal will buzz until you reset the timer hand to OFF. The timer is only a reminder and will not con­trol the oven.
COOKTOP UNITS See your Use and Care Guide for information on the use and care of the
cooktop units.
OVEN/BROILER To use the bake and broil ovens, set the Selector for the type of cooking,
then set the Thermostat for the desired temperature or for BROIL. See your Use and Care Guide for more information.
Preheat: Use to preheat the oven quickly. Both upper and lower elements
will heat. When the oven signal light cycles off, the oven is preheated. Be sure and reset the Selector to BAKE before putting food Into the oven. If the Selector Is left on PREHEAT, the food will burn on top.
Sake: Use for baking, roasting and warming. Only the lower element will
heat.
Timed Sake: Use for a Delay Start/Timed Bake operation (see next page).
Only the lower element will heat.
Broil: Use for broiling. Only the upper element will heat.

DELAY START/TIMED BAKE (Both Ovens)
This feature lets you set the clock to control the ovens and leaves you free to do other things. The ovens can be set to turn on at the start time, heat to the set temperature, hold that temperature until the stop time is reached, then turn off.
To set:
I. Set the START TIME (push in and turn). NOTE: This step Is necessary only for a delayed start operatlon. The
oven will start at once as long as the start tlme Is the same as the tlme of day on the clock.
2. STOP TIME (push in and turn).
3. Set proper SELECTOR to TIMED BAKE.
4. Set proper THERMOSTAT to the desired temperature.
5. When done, turn SELECTOR and THERMOSTAT to OFF. NOTE: Never let food sit for more than 4 hours before cooklng starts,
when you set your oven for a delayed start. Room temperature
promotes the growth of harmful bacteria.
LIGHTS
Cooktop Llght - Push button in and hold a few seconds to turn
backguard light on and off.
Oven Llghts - Push button to turn oven lights on and off.
SIGNAL LIGHTS Cooktop: will glow whenever one or more of the cooktop elements is turned
on.
LIFT-UP COOKTOP The cooktop lifts up so the cooktop and area underneath can be cleanec
Grasp the cooktop at the front and lift off. Lift the support rod to hold th cooktop up while cleaning.
After you’ve finished cleaning, carefully lower the cooktop pressing it dow firmly to make sure the strikes fasten in the catches.
NOTE: To avoid chlpplng or damaging the porcelain cooktop, can
should be used not to drop or force cooktop when ralsing o lowerlng.
