OPERATING GUIDE
CLOCK To sel:
Push in and lurn the clock face

knob to set Ihe correct time of day
2 Turn the clock face knob,
wlthout pushing III lo reset the timer hand to OFF
TIMER
The lamer may be se1 for any amount of time from 1 to 60 minutes. Turn the timer knob, wllhout pushing In, lo set the timer hand to the desired time. When time is up, a slgnal timer is only a reminder and will nol control the oven.
COOKTOP UNITS See your Use and Care Guide for delails.
OVEN/BROILER To use the bake and broil oven, set the Selector for the type of cooklng, then
sel the Thermostat for the desired temperature or for BROIL (BR). See your
Use and Care Guide for details
Preheat: Use lo preheat the oven quickly. Both upper and lower elements
will heat. Be sure to reset Ihe Selector lo BAKE before putting food into the oven. If Ihe Selector is left on PREHEAT, the food will burn on top.
Bake: Use for baking, roasting and warmlng Only the bottom element WI/I
heat.
Tlmed Oven: Use for a Delay Start Tlmed Oven operation (see next page)
Only the bottom element will heat.
Broil: Use for broiling or rollssIng Only the upper element WIII heat.

DELAY START/TIMED OVEN This feature lets you set the clock to control the oven and leaves you free lo
do other things. The oven can be set to turn on at the start time, heat to the set temperature, hold that temperature until the stop time is reached, then turn off.
To set: 1, Set the START TIME (push in and turn)
NOTE: This step is necessary only for a delayed start operation. The
oven will start at once as long as the start time is the same as the tlme of day on the clock.
2. Set STOP TIME (push in and turn).
3. Set SELECTOR to TIMED OVEN.
4. Set THERMOSTAT to the desired temperature.
5. When done, turn SELECTOR and THERMOSTAT to OFF. NOTE: Never let food sit for more than 4 hours before cooking starts,
when you set your oven for a delayed start. Room temperature
promotes the growth of harmful bacteria.
SIGNAL LIGHTS Cooktop: will glow whenever one or more of the cooktop elements IS turned
on.
Oven: WIII glow when the oven IS turned on. When the oven has reached the
set temperature, Ihe light will go off, then cycle on and off with the
oven to show the temperature IS being mamtatned.
REPLACING THE BACKGUARD LIGHT Do not touch the bulb when hot, with wet hands, or wipe light area witl
wet cloth. Unplug or disconnect the electrical supply to range befon removing.
Remove the control and clock knobs. Remove both backguard screws, on’ on each side. Insert a dull bladed knife under Ihe bottom edge of the glas and pry outward. The glass retatner will rotate outward and release thl glass Remove the bulb and replace with one of the same length and wal tage. With the retainer rotated out, push glass back into place. Replace the screws and knobs.
