Phantom Drophead Coupé
Product overview brochure
Unforgettable open-top
motoring
Phantom Drophead Coupé’s graceful curves were inspired by the America’s Cup J-Class racing yachts of the Thirties and the Italian Riva motor launches of the Fifties. Indeed, the overall appearance of the car has been designed to give the impression of an elegant motorboat at speed.
In classic Rolls-Royce style, Phantom Drophead Coupé has a dynamic rising profile, with its high waistline tapering back to a contemporary take on a boat-tail. The car builds on the Rolls-Royce tradition of waftability, allowing its occupants to relax and enjoy the pleasures of open-top driving.
Streamlined
elegance
Inspired by streamlined yachts and clippers, the famous Rolls-Royce grille has been reclined backwards, giving a dynamic and distinctive look to Phantom Drophead Coupé. But this is very much your car. You can choose every detail, for instance selecting the optional brushed steel bonnet or giving the distinctive grille an individual touch with your choice of polished steel or coloured grille surround.
The classic 2:1 proportions of the wheel to body height ensure that Phantom Drophead Coupé is a Rolls-Royce through and through. You can choose from a wide range of different wheel options, or opt for a visible exhaust perhaps. Whatever your preference, each wheel design features unique self-righting wheel centres, so the Rolls-Royce monogram is always displayed correctly.
Open up to
luxury
In Phantom Drophead Coupé you will be surrounded by the finest materials for every mile of your journey. The signature hood is the largest and most refined of any modern convertible car. Made from five layers of material, it is quiet and luxurious when the top is raised, but then effortlessly stows neatly in just 25 seconds at the touch of a button beneath a panel of fine oiled teak. All this is achieved without compromising on luggage space for you and your guests.
You can specify the colour to suit your tastes, and to complement the colour of the car.
First class
travel
The maritime theme continues inside Phantom Drophead Coupé’s cabin, with a spacious interior that evokes the feeling of being aboard an elegant motor yacht. This is a place to relax and socialise, with seats that have been designed to create an intimate, convivial space.
Every detail is immaculate. The hand-stitched leatherwor k takes Rolls-Royce craftspeople over two weeks to complete, with dedicated attention that ensures the soft, supple natural grain leather will never squeak or crack. The sisal carpets and teak rear decking under which the canvas hood is stowed when lowered are perfectly in keeping with the car’s informal and nautical nature.
