PDX-8 Snare Settings Required
Use of the setup without the following may prevent the PDX-8’s rim shots from sounding, cause double triggering, or result in other problems.
1. Tune the Head
2. Make the Settings for the Trigger Parameters
Make the trigger parameter settings with the TD-6V percussion sound module. Follow the procedures below.
The TD-6V's default factory settings are not suitable for use with the PDX-8.

3. Adjust the “Rim Sens”

If you find the following kinds of problems occurring, adjust the “Rim Sens.”
• If you hear a rim sound when you strike the head, decrease the “Rim Sens” value.
• If you cannot get a rim sound even when you strike the rim hard, increase the “Rim Sens” value.
How To Set the Trigger Parameters ( TD-6V Owner’s Manual; p. 69 )
1. Press [SHIFT] + [EDIT (SETUP)] on the TD-6KV.
2. Strike the PDX-8.
The trigger input 2 (SNARE) is selected.
3. Press [ ] select “TRIG BASIC” or “TRIG ADVNCD.”
4. Press [ENTER ].
5. Press [ ] or [ ] to select the parameter
(“TrigTyp”, “Mask Time”, “Rim Sens”, etc.).
6. Press [+] or [-] to make the setting.
7. Press [KIT]; the [EDIT (SETUP)] light goes off.
