Notes to Observe When Using the

PD-80R/PD-80/KD-80

These products feature improved triggering performance compared with previous
versions.
To derive maximum performance from these devices, we recommend that you refer
to the information below and adjust the trigger parameters accordingly.

* For instructions on how to adjust the trigger parameters, refer to the owner’s manuals for

your sound modules and other devices.

Set the trigger parameters as described in the Owner’s Manual, then adjust as
described below.

* You may be able to achieve even better performance characteristics by setting Curve = EXP1.

* Rim Sens and Rim Gain are effective only with the PD-80R.

■ About the PD-80R’s Rim Sens

If hitting the head produces a rim sound instead, reduce the Rim Sens value
(RimShot Adjust on the TD-20).
On the other hand, if you find it difficult to get rim shot sounds to play,
raise the Rim Sens value (RimShot Adjust on the TD-20).
