Before you begin using the software

Using V-Piano Editor

Refer to the online documentation for the V-Piano for instructions on how to customize tones using V-Piano Editor.

Once V-Piano Editor has been launched, all you need to do to view the online documentation is to select “Help–V-Piano Editor Manual.”

Concerning the MIDI settings

You’ll need to make the settings necessary for using MIDI the first time that you launch V-Piano Editor.

In V-Piano Editor, under “Set Up MIDI Devices,” you need to select the V-Piano’s MIDI ports for the Input/Output of the V-Piano.

*The above depicts what you should see in Windows Vista.

*Do not select anything for the Input/Output of “Through.”

*The settings necessary to use MIDI need to be made only once, immediately after you have started up the software for the first time.

Loading the V-Piano’s tone settings

Before you start customizing any tones using V-Piano Editor, you first need to acquire all the settings for tones that are stored inside the V-Piano itself.

After starting up V-Piano Editor, the first thing you need to do is click the [Read] button. When you do this, all the tone settings stored inside the V-Piano instrument will be loaded into V-Piano Editor.
