GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Pendant Transmitter is compatible with Rokonet’s Wireless Receivers to signal
emergency situations.

Each unit is preset at the factory to one of more than 16 million possible codes,
eliminating the need for DIP switches.

The unit is powered by a standard 12-volt battery (supplied) and is easily worn using
a nylon cord supplied with the unit.

TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER COMMUNICATION SETUP

The Pendant Transmitter must initially identify itself to the system’s receiver by
writing its coded address into the receiver’s address memory. This is accomplished
by performing the following steps:

1. Follow the WRITE MODE procedure described in the Receiver’s Installation
Manual.

2. Send a WRITE message by pressing the transmitter button for at least 3 seconds
until the receiver indicates acceptance of the address code.

3. Follow the Communication Check procedure described in the Receiver Manual.

4. Set the receiver to Normal Mode.

STANDARD OPERATION

To operate the Pendant Transmitter press the transmitter’s button until the red LED
on the transmitter lights.

The LED will remain lit for as long as the button is pressed.

Note:

In order to save battery life the unit is designed to send their message
for 5 seconds only, even if the button remains continuously pressed.

LOW BATTERY TEST

A battery test is performed each time the transmitter’s push button is pressed. If the
battery is low the red LED will start to blink, indicating that the 12-volt battery must
be replaced.

A “Low Battery” message is also sent to the Programmable Receiver.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Battery replacement is easily accomplished by performing the following steps (See
Figure 1):

1. Remove the screw on the back cover
of the unit, and remove back cover.

2. Replace the 12-volt battery. Insert the battery according to the polarity
designations indicated on the PCB and front plastic cover.

3. Replace back cover and screw.

4. Perform a Communication Check with the receiver to verify proper operation.

Note:

Rokonet is not responsible for the performance of the Pendant Transmitter
if used with non Rokonet Receivers.

DESCRIPTION GENERALE DE T50

Le médaillon d'appel d'urgence est un pendentif émetteur compatible avec le
récepteur sans fil ROKONET pour signaler les situations d'urgence.

Chaque appareil est pré-programmé en usine et reçoit une gamme étendue à 16
millions de codes possibles, ce qui évite le recours aux interrupteurs DIP.

L'appareil fonctionne à l'aide d'une pile standard de 12 volts (fournie) et est très
simple à porter grâce à sa chaîne en plastique, également fournie.

CONNEXION AU RECEPTEUR/ TRANSMETTEUR

Le médaillon d'appel d'urgence doit tout d'abord être identifié par le récepteur du
système en inscrivant son adresse codée dans la mémoire d'adresses du récepteur.

Cette connexion se réalise selon les étapes suivantes :

1. Suivre la procédure du Mode d'Ecriture (WRITE MODE) décrite dans la notice
d'installation du récepteur.

2. Envoyer un message d'écriture (WRITE) en pressant le bouton de l'émetteur au
moins 3 secondes jusqu'à ce que le récepteur indique la reconnaissance du
code de l'adresse.

3. Suivre la procédure de vérification de connexion décrite dans la notice d'installation
du récepteur.

4. Régler le récepteur en MODE NORMAL.

NORMAL. FONCTIONNEMENT STANDARD

Pour activer le médaillon d'appel d'urgence, appuyer sur le bouton émetteur jusqu'à
ce que la lumière rouge du transmetteur s'allume.

La diode LED restera allumée aussi longtemps que le bouton sera pressé.

Remarque:

Afin d'économiser la pile, les appareils sont conçus pour une durée d'envoi
de leur message de seulement 5 secondes, et ce, même si le bouton
restait continuellement pressé.

TEST D'AUTONOMIE DE LA PILE

Ce test est pratiqué à chaque fois que le bouton de l'émetteur est appuyé. Si la pile
est faible, la diode LED rouge commence à clignoter, indiquant que la pile de 12
volts doit être changée. Un message "Low Battery" (pile faible) est aussi envoyé
au récepteur programmable.

REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE

Le remplacement de la pile est une opération très simple et s'effectue comme suit
(voir figure 1) :

1. Oter la vis de la face arrière du boîtier pour ouvrir ce dernier.

2. Changer la pile de 12 volts. Placer la pile neuve en respectant les indications
depolarité inscrites sur la carte PCB et sur le couvercle frontal en plastique.

3. Refermer le boîtier et resserrer la vis.

4. Effectuer un test de communication avec le récepteur pour vérifier le bon
fonctionnement de l'appareil.

Remarque:

Rokonet ne garantit pas le bon fonctionnement du médaillon d'appel
d'urgence si celui-ci est utilisé avec d'autres récepteurs que ceux de
Rokonet.

posibles, eliminando así la necesidad de interruptores DIP.

La unidad es abastecida por una batería estándar de 12 voltios y es fácilmente
transportada usándose una cuerda de nylon que viene incluida en la unidad.

CONFIGURACIÓN DE LA COMUNICACIÓN
TRANSMISOR/RECEPTOR

Primeramente el Transmisor Colgante debe identificarse al receptor del sistema
programando su dirección codificada en la memoria de direcciones del receptor.
Esto se logra ejecutándose los siguientes pasos:

1. Siga el procedimiento del MODO WRITE descrito en el Manual de Instalación
del Receptor.

2. Envíe un mensaje WRITE, presionando el botón del transmisor por lo menos
por 3 segundos, hasta que el receptor indique aceptar el código de la dirección.

3. Siga con el procedimiento de Chequeo de Comunicación, descrito en el Manual
del Receptor.

4. Ajuste el Receptor al Modo Normal.

OPERACIÓN STANDARD

Para operar el Transmisor Colgante presione el botón del transmisor hasta que
el LED rojo en el transmisor se prenda.

El LED permanecerá prendido siempre y cuando el botón esté presionado.

Nota:

Con el propósito de prolongar la duración de la batería, las unidades
han sido proyectadas para enviar su mensaje por 5 segundos solamente,
mismo que el botón permanezca continuamente presionado.

PRUEBA DE BATERÍA BAJA

Una prueba de la batería es realizada cada vez que el botón del transmisor es
presionado. Si la batería está baja el LED rojo comenzará a destellar indicando
que la batería de 12 voltios debe ser reemplazada.

Un mensaje de ‘Batería Baja’ es enviado también al Receptor Programable.

REPOSICIÓN DE LA BATERÍA

La reposición de la batería es fácilmente realizada, ejecutándose los siguientes
pasos (Ver Figura 1):

1. Saque el tornillo de la tapa posterior de la unidad y remueva la tapa.

2. Cambie la batería de 12 voltios. Coloque la batería según las indicaciones de
polaridad en el PCB y en la tapa plástica delantera.

3. Coloque de vuelta la tapa posterior y el tornillo.

4. Ejecute un Chequeo de Comunicación con el receptor para verificar la apropiada
operación.

GARANTÍA

Rokonet no garantiza el funcionamiento del Transmisor Colgante, a menos que
sea usado juntamente con el Receptor Programable de Rokonet.

Rokonet Electronics, Ltd. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Seller”) warrant its
products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
for 12 months from the date of production. Because Seller does not install or
connect the product and because the product may be used in conjunction with
products not manufactured by the Seller, Seller can not guarantee the performance
of the security system which uses this product. Seller’s obligation and liability under
this warranty is expressly limited to repairing and replacing, at Seller’s option,
within a reasonable time after the date of delivery, any product not meeting the
specifications. Seller makes no other warranty, expressed or implied, and makes
no warranty of merchantability or of fitness for any particular purpose.

In no case shall seller be liable for any consequential or incidental damages for
breach of this or any other warranty, expressed or implied, or upon any other basis
of liability whatsoever.

Seller’s obligation under this warranty shall not include any transportation charges
or costs of installation or any liability for direct, indirect, or consequential damages

DESCRIZIONE GENERALE

Il dispositivo T50 è un trasmetitore pendant compatibile con i ricevitori radio
ROKONET, utilizzato per segnalare situazioni di emergenza.

Ogni dispositivo è preprogrammato in fabbrica con codice univoco selezionato
casualmente tra 16 milioni di codici differenti. Questa caratteristica evita la necessità
di utilizzare microinterruttori per la sua codifica.

T50 è alimentato da una batteria standard a 12V e può essere portato al collo
tramite un cordoncino in nylon fornito con l'unità.

CONFIGURAZIONE DEL TRASMETTITORE/RICEVITORE PER
LA COMUNICAZIONE RADIO

Il T50 deve essere identificato dal ricevitore tramite la trasmissione del suo indirizzo
univoco. Per effettuare tale operazione osservate i passi seguenti.

1. Seguite la procedura di Trasmissione (WRITE) del Messaggio di indirizzo
descritta nel manuale di Installazione e Programmazione del ricevitore

2. Inviare un messaggio premendo il tasto del trasmettitore per almeno 3 secondi
finchè il ricevitore conferma la ricezione dell'indirizzo tramite un breve tono
acustico.

3. Eseguire la procedura di Test della Comunicazione Radio descritta nel Manuale
del Ricevitore.

4. Configurare il Ricevitore per il Modo Normale di Funzionamento.

UTILIZZO DEL TRASMETTITORE

Per attivare il T50, premere il tasto dell'unità fino all’ accensione del LED rosso.
Il LED rimarrà acceso fintanto chè verrà premuto il tasto.

Nota:

Per prolungare la durata della batteria, T50 ripete la trasmissione per
soli 5 secondi nel caso che il pulsante rimanga continuamente premuto.

TEST DELLA BATTERIA

Ogni qualvolta il pulsante del trasmettitore viene premuto, viene effettuato
automaticamente il test della batteria. Se la batteria è scarica il LED rosso inizierà
a lampeggiare indicando che la batteria da 12V deve essere sostituita.

Un messaggio “Batteria Scarica” sarà inviato anche al Ricevitore.

SOSTITUZIONE DELLA BATTERIA

La sostituzione della batteria è una semplice operazione di seguito descritta
(Riferirsi anche alla Fig. 1):

1. Togliere la vite dal contenitore posteriore del dispositivo e rimuovere lo stesso.

2. Sostituire la batteria a 12V. Posizionare la batteria seguendo la polarità indicata
sul circuito stampato e inserire il coperchio frontale in plastica.

3. Riposizionare e riavvitare il coperchio posteriore.

4. Effettuare il Test di Comunicazione Radio con il ricevitore per una ulteriore
verifica del dispositivo.

OPERAÇÃO ESTANDARTE

Para operar o Transmissor Pendente, pressione o botão do transmissor até que
o LED vermelho no transmissor se acenda. O LED permanecerá aceso enquanto
o botão estiver sendo pressionado.

Nota:

A fim de economizar a vida da bateria, as unidades estão programadas
para enviar suas mensagens durante apenas 5 segundos, mesmo que
o botão permaneça pressionado continuamente.

TESTE DE BATERIA FRACA

Um teste de bateria é realizado cada vez que o botão do transmissor é pressionado.
Se a bateria estiver fraca, o LED vermelho começará a piscar, indicando que a
bateria de 12 volts deve ser substituída.

Uma mensagem de “Bateria Fraca” é também enviada ao Receptor Programável.

REPOSIÇÃO DA BATERIA

A reposição da bateria é facilmente efetuada, realizando-se os seguintes passos
(Ver Figura 1):

1. Retire o parafuso da tampa posterior da unidade, e retire a tampa posterior.

2. Substitua a bateria de 12 volts. Coloque a bateria de acordo com a indicação
de polaridade, como aparece no PCB e na tampa frontal de plástico.

3. Recoloque a tampa posterior e o parafuso.

4. Execute um Controle de Comunicação com o receptor para verificar operação
apropriada.

GARANTIA

ROKONET não garante o desempenho do Transmissor Pendente, a menos que
seja usado em conjunto com o Receptor Programável da Rokonet.

ALLGEMEINE BESCHREIBUNG

Der T50 ist ein Umhänge-Sender der im Zusammenhang mit ROKONET's
programmierbaren Empfänger eingesetzt wird um ein Notfall-Signal zu senden.

Jedes Gerät ist werkseitig mit einem von über 16 Mio. pseudozufällig wählbaren
Codes programmiert. Dies macht DIP-Schalter überflüssig.

Das Gerät wird mit einer 12V-Standard-Batterie betrieben und kann leicht mit der
im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Metall-Halskette am Körper getragen werden.

T50 KOMMUNIKATIONS-SETUP MIT EMPFÄNGER

Der T50 muß sich durch die Übertragung einer codierten Nachricht in den
Adressenspeicher des Empfängers selbst identifizieren. Dies wird durch die

Ausführung folgender Schritte erreicht:

1. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen zum Adressmodus in der Installations- und
Betriebsanweisung des Empfängers. Senden Sie durch Drücken des Sendeknopfes
für mindestens 3 Sekunden ein Adressensignal bis der Empfänger die Aufnahme
der neuen Adresse anzeigt.

2. Folgen Sie der Communication-Check-Anleitung, wie sie in der
Betriebsanleitung des Empfängers beschrieben ist

3. Setzen Sie den Empfänger auf Normalmodus.

STANDARDBETRIEB

Um den T50 zu betreiben, drücken Sie den Sendeknopf bis die rote LED des
Senders leuchtet. Die LED leuchtet solange wie der Sendeknopf gedrückt wird.

Hinweis:

Um die Lebensdauer der Batterie zu verlängern, ist das Gerät so konzipiert,daß
das Signal nur alle 30 Sekunden übertragen wird, wenn der Sendeknopf ständig
gedrückt bleibt.

LOW-BATTERY-TEST

Mit jeder Betätigung des Sendeknopfes wird ein Batterietest durchgeführt. Falls die
Batterie schwach ist, blinkt die LED um anzuzeigen, daß die 12V-Batterie gewechselt
werden muß. Eine Low-Battery-Meldung wird auch an den programmierbaren
Empfänger übertragen Der Austausch der Batterie ist durch die Ausführung der
folgenden Schritte eicht durchführbar (Siehe Abb.1):

1.

Lösen Sie die Schraube an der Rückseite des Gerätes und nehmen Sie den
Deckel ab.

2. Entfernen Sie die 12V-Batterie. Setzen Sie die neue Batterie mit Hilfe der auf
der Platine und dem Plastikdeckel aufgebrachten Polaritätsanzeigen ein.

3. Bringen Sie den Deckel mit der Schraube wieder an.

4.

Führen Sie einen Communication-Check durch, um die einwandfreie Funktion sicher
zu stellen.

ANBRINGEN DER HALSKETTE

Im Lieferumfang des T50 ist eine Halskette aus Metall enthalten, die leicht anzubringen
und leicht zu entfernen ist.

ACHTUNG

Änderungen oder Modifikationen die nicht ausdrücklich von ROKONET genehmigt
werden, können zum Verlust der Betriebserlaubnis führen.

Die gleichzeitige Meldungsübertragung von zwei verschiedenen Geräten kann zu
Übertragungs-Störungen und zum Verlust der Informationen führen. Die Übertragungs­Qualität dieses Gerätes kann durch Umgebungseinflüße beeinträchtigt werden.
Elektrische Geräte in der nahen Umgebung können Einfluß auf den normalen
Betrieb des Gerätes haben. Aus diesem Grunde, muß die Funktion des Gerätes
bei jeder Installation geprüft werden, da die Übertragungs-Qualität in unterschiedlichen
Betriebszuständen variieren kann.
