The JetStream Pro has not been tested for use in a motor vehicle. The risk of an
•
accidental disconnect that could result in a fall and potential serious injury has
not been assessed. Always have the user transfer to an approved vehicle seat.
CAUTION
Before using the JetStream Pro, ROHO, Inc. recommends a clinician evaluate the
•
need for anti-tipping devices or amputee axle adaptors. As with any addition to
your wheelchair, the JetStream Pro may affect the stability of the wheelchair.
DO NOT lean over the top of the JetStream Pro. This may cause your center of
•
gravity to change and may cause you to tip over.
DO NOT use if user is over 250 lbs. (113.4 kg).
•
DO NOT attach the JetStream Pro with the user in the chair.
•
Protect the JetStream Pro from blunt force shocks that may cause damage and/or
•
breakage.
Check screws, clamps, and brackets for wear, breakage, and tightness daily.
•
Retighten loose screws following the Attachment Instructions in this manual.
DO NOT continue to use the JetStream Pro if any part cannot be tightened or is
broken.
The JetStream Pro may not fit every wheelchair; please refer to the Wheelchair
•
Compatibility Chart in this manual. Consult with your provider or clinician
providing your equipment for compatibility with your wheelchair.
Altering the JetStream Pro may affect performance and will void warranty.
•
Only use hardware supplied with the JetStream Pro. If replacement parts are
•
needed please contact your ROHO provider.
If the JetStream Pro is not positioned to make contact at the PSIS, pelvic support
•
and trunk control may be reduced (see page 3).
DO NOT use the JetStream Pro to lift your wheelchair.
•
DO NOT use the JetStream Pro near an ozone generator, as the ozone generator
•
may deteriorate the foam pad and other materials, and void your warranty.

JetStream Pro with CF (carbon fiber) Technology
INTENDED USE
The JetStream Pro is an ergonomically designed wheelchair back replacement
support system that promotes an upright posture, by providing support at the
posterior pelvis and trunk. This support system eases the strain on the lower
back.
The light weight JetStream Pro is easy to attach to the back posts and set to the
necessary height on the wheelchair. ROHO, Inc. recommends the JetStream Pro
initially be attached by a trained and authorized ROHO provider.
Wheelchair Compatibility Chart
The JetStream Pro is designed to be used only with rigid or powered wheelchairs
having circular back posts 3/4" (2.0 cm) to 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter. All
measurements taken are from outside of back post to outside of back post. A
Standard Height JetStream Pro Back is 16.5" (42.0 cm) tall. A Mid Height back is 13"
(33.0 cm) tall. A Low Height JetStream Pro Back is 10" (25.5 cm) tall.

Reducers are required for installation of JetStream Pro Backs when back posts of
3/4" (1.9 cm) or 7/8" (2.2 cm) in diameter are used.
Posterior, Superior, Illiac Spine (PSIS).
ROHO, Inc. recommends that the bottom portion
of the JetStream Pro Back be positioned to make
contact at the PSIS for optimal pelvic support and
trunk control. The PSIS processes are the two
bumps below the waist on each side of the spine,
halfway between the tail bone (coccyx) and the
lower back (lumbar spine). On some individuals
these landmarks can be evident by two dimples
PSIS
at the same level.
