Thank you for purchasing the Rockbox™ Brown Sugar™ Distortion. The Brown SugarTM is inspired by one of the most
sought-after tones for decades: the sound of a cranked vintage British non-master volume amp. Whether recorded on
classic albums or played on tour by legendary hard rock bands, the raw power of plugging straight into a full stack and
turning it all the way up has transformed blues and rock music forever. Guitar players have long tried exotic pickups and
modifications to their amplifiers to achieve this special sound with different equipment and at more practical volumes.
The Brown SugarTM is designed to get close enough to those classic rhythm crunch and stinging lead sounds that you can
feel it when you play, featuring four controls that interact together for organic, amp-like tones with sustain and presence.
This is a true-bypass pedal. The circuit is bypassed and the signal passes directly from input to output when the pedal is
switched off.

Note: This pedal is capable of producing a lot of gain! It is possible to send your amp into oscillation, blow speakers,
etc. with some settings. Be sure to lower the gain on the pedal AND your amp before connection.

Level - Sets the overall volume. Use this to match volume or give a boosted output when the pedal is selected.
Drive - Sets the amount of distortion.
Tone - Use the tone control to set the amount of bass, mids and treble heard from the pedal when the pedal is selected.
Contour - Interactive with the tone control to select the high, low, and mid frequencies being adjusted by the tone control.

A/C Adapter - Uses standard 2.1 x 5.5mm Center Negative Polarity 9v adapter, such as a Boss. Using an A/C Adapter
bypasses the supplied internal 9V battery. Be sure to check the internal battery regularly for leakage.

This product is warrantied against manufacturers defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for a period of two years
from the date of purchase. Failure due to the following will void the warranty: Rockbox is not responsible for failure due to modifications,
abuse, incorrect power supply or repairs done by others. Warranty repairs are performed at Rockbox. Purchaser is responsible for shipping
charges to Rockbox. Rockbox will repair or replace at its discretion.
