As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows.
- The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
- The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N
or coloured black.
- The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter
L or coloured red.
ATTENTION: Do not forget to use adequate plugs to the support brackets. Enquire after the manufacturers. Do an embedding if necessary. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility in case of a
faulty hanging due to the drilling and the setting up of plugs.
Extractor QUARTZ + CONFORT PRO Motor
The installation of the built-in extractor QUARTZ can be carried out in 2 different ways:
•Either while integrating the motor in the hood or in the kitchen furniture.
•Either while separating the motor, to be placed at a distance from the hood, in order to be more comfort-
able improving noise level
Extractor QUARTZ + extern motor at a distance MISTRAL 800
The QUARTZ built-in extractor is installed in the hood or in the kitchen furniture; the MISTRAL motor is
tted at a distance from the hood on an outside wall.
A - INSTALLATION WITH THE CONFORT PRO MOTOR FIXED INTO THE BUILT-IN QUARTZ EX-
TRACTOR
1.Turn the screws anticlockwise to loosen the 2 xing clips on the Quartz (g 1).
2.Position the Confort motor inlet above the Quartz and lower into position (g 2).
3.Fix the Confort motor assembly to the Quartz with the 2 screws (g 3).
4.Insert the 4 shock absorbers into the holes in the back of the Confort motor (g 4).
5.Cut the required aperture in the base of the kitchen cabinet as indicated (g. 5).
6.Insert the extractor in the aperture in the kitchen cabinet and turning the screws clockwise secure the
assembly to the kitchen cabinet (g 6).
7.We recommend that the CONFORT PRO motor be secured to the back of the kitchen cabinet,which will
allow access via the cabinet door (g 6). However, if the fan assembly vibrates it will benecessary to
secure the assembly to the wall.
8.Insert the grommets into the screws holes (g 7).
9.Connect the ducting onto the round outlet on the top of the motor assembly (g. 9).
10.Connect both appliances together (g 8) and connect them to the mains supply
(See ELECTRICALWIRING chapter).
CAUTION : If the kitchen cabinet does not have a door you must execute points 9 and 10 before
point 7.
•RECIRCULATION
In the recirculation mode (with the optional activated charcoal lter tted) the contaminated air enters
thehood through the grease lter and through the purifying activated charcoal lters and back out into
thekitchen through a grille in the front of the kitchen cabinet (g. 9).Before the charcoal lter can be
tted it is necessary to x the propeller shaped bracket over outlet in thebody of the canopy using the
3 No M4 x 6 screws provided and then the activated charcoal cartridge can be tted (g 10).
B - REMOTE INSTALLATION OF THE QUARTZ WITH CONFORT PRO OR MISTRAL 800 MOTOR
See the specic instruction booklet supplied when tting the remote controlled Confort Pro or Mistral 800
motor at a distance from the Quartz extractor hood.
1.Turn the screws anticlockwise to loosen the 2 xing clips on the Quartz (g 1).
2.Cut the required aperture in the base of the kitchen cabinet as indicated (g. 5).
