• Completely read these instructions and any others provided before attempting to use this unit.
• Working near a sealed lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is important that you read this manual and follow the instructions exactly whenever using your JNS1880. Also read and follow the instructions published by the vehicle battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of the battery. Review all caution markings on these products and on the engine.
• Wear eye and clothing protection.
• Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts skin,
clothing or eyes. Avoid touching eyes while working near battery.
• If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water.
• If acid enters the eye(s) immediately flood with cold water for at least 10 minutes and
get medical attention as soon as possible.
• Do not smoke or allow a spark or flame near the battery and engine.
• Contact between metal tools and the positive car battery post may cause a spark, or short circuit the car battery, or electrical component that may cause an explosion.
• Keep this product out of the reach of children.
Improper use of of this product may result in the possibility of bodily injury, such as burns or blindness.
Never operate this unit near any flammable gasses, liquids, or near an open flame.
• Follow the manufacturers recommendations for powering their products.
• Only charge the unit with the 120 Volt AC charger supplied with the unit.
• Keep away from any sources of moisture or humidity such as rain or snow.
• Only use the 12 Volt outlets with 12 Volt accessories.
• Always use the same amperage fuse when replacing the fuse.

Power Switch
120 Volt AC Power Supply
When you first unpack the Jump 'N Start from the box, the battery only has a minimum charge. Using the included 120 volt AC power supply. Plug the unit in as shown.
Turn the JNS1880's power switch off, plug the 120 Volt power supply into a 120 Volt outlet. Insert the 12 Volt plug of the 120 Volt power supply into the 12 volt input on the front of the Jump 'N' Start for the initial charge.
The Red Charging Indicator Light will indicate that the battery has begun to charge. A full charge is usually achieved in 48 hours. To check the batterys condition disconnect the charging adaptor, then turn the power switch to the ON position. When the Green LED is lit, the battery is fully charged. When the Amber LED is lit, the battery has a low charge. When the Orange LED is lit, the battery is going into overcharge. Disconnect the charging unit immediately. When the Battery Condition Red LED is lit, the battery is fully discharged. Discharging a battery even slightly below its fully discharged voltage shortens its life. Letting a battery sit and self discharge to 0 destroys the battery.
1. Turn the Power Switch to the ON position.
2. Remove black rubber socket cover.
3. Insert the cigarette lighter adaptor into the socket.
4. Replace socket covers after each use.
4. If the accessory uses more than 15 amps the fuse will blow and need to be replaced

Always follow the manufacturers' operating manual of the 12 volt accessories you intend to operate with the JNS1880. Not following the operating instructions may result in damage to the JNS1880 and/or the accessory you are using.

Accessories and spare parts are found in the compartment on the back of the Jump 'N Start 1880.
1. Charge for between 6-12* hrs after each use and every 2 months unless the LEDs indicate otherwise.
2. Always store sealed lead acid batteries in a charged condition.
3. Do not store directly on concrete floors or against walls.
4. Avoid repeated deep discharges. Slow deep discharges will destroy the battery prematurely.
5. Store at cool temperatures. Storage charges will last longer.
6. Avoid operating sealed lead batteries at very high temperatures.
Changing The Fuse
Never replace a fuse with a higher amperage rating than 15 amps!
1. Pry bad 15 amp fuse from front of unit with a screw driver, or pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers.
2. Hold the fuse up to a light source and see if the filament is broken.
3. If the fuse is bad, Insert the new 15 amp fuse supplied with the JNS1880.
• Disconnect the charging unit immediately.

After the initial charge, you can recharge the Jump 'N Start after each use or recharge every two months using the 120 Volt charger.

This unit has a sealed lead-acid battery and CANNOT BE QUICK CHARGED. The battery should be kept at full
charge with the supplied 120 Volt AC charger, recharge when first received, and immediately after each use, and every two months if not used. Failure to do this may cause the battery life to be reduced.

For Use with Supplied Adaptors
For use with one of the supplied adaptors, fully insert the threaded end of the adaptor into the locking air nozzle, then press the lever on the locking air nozzle to the locked position. When the adaptor is fully inserted into the item that you are going to inflate, turn the air compressor ON with the compressor switch on the back of the JNS1880. As the item inflates, watch the air compressor gauge on the back of the JNS1880. When the air compressor gauge reaches the tire manufacturers' recommended air pressure or 90 Pounds Per Square inch, turn the air compressor OFF. Disconnect the air hose from the item that has been inflated. Store air compressor in safe place. Keep away from children
When using inflating adaptors do not exceed Maximum Air Pressure of 90 psi (pounds per square inch)

Changing The Fuse

3. If the fuse is bad, Insert the new 15 amp fuse supplied with the JNS1880.
• Unit fully charged.
• Battery strength is very low and the unit requires immediate re-charging of 12* hours.
• Indicates unit is recharging when the 120 Volt adaptor is connected.
• Disconnect the charging unit immediately.
• The unit is fully discharged and will require at least 50* hrs of charging.

Open the accessories compartment door on the back of the JNS1880. Uncoil the locking air nozzle and hose from the accessories compartment. The locking air nozzle on the end of the air hose can be attached to the valve stems of most inflatable tires or to any of the 3 adaptors supplied.
For Use with a Valve Stem
With the air compressor OFF, place the locking air nozzle over the end of the valve stem, make sure the valve stem is fully inserted into the locking air nozzle. When the valve stem is fully inserted, Press the lever on the locking air nozzle to the locked position as shown. When you have locked the locking air nozzle onto the tire valve stem, turn the air compressor ON with the compressor switch on the back of the JNS1880. As the tire inflates, watch the air compressor gauge on the back of the JNS1880. When the air compressor gauge reaches the tire manufacturers' recommended air pressure turn the air compressor OFF. Disconnect the air hose from the item that has been inflated. Store air compressor in safe place. Keep away from children
Jump Starting a Vehicle
1. Place the JNS1880 on a stable area near the vehicle’s battery, Keep clear from any pulleys, belts, fans or other moving parts in the engine compartment.
2. Undo the Jump 'N Start's Battery Clamps and unwind the cables from the unit. Do not let the clamps touch each other!
3. Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery in the car being jumped.
4. Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to a known good ground on the car being jumped.
5. After the engine of the jumped car starts, disconnect the BLACK negative (-) clamp from it’s ground first.
6. Disconnect the RED positive (+) clamp from the positive (+) terminal of the vehicles battery.
NEVER TOUCH CLAMPS TOGETHER!
