Purpose
The FuseMaster 76514 eliminates the necessity of remov­ing fuses for towing, then having to reinsert them for driving. After the installation you will flip a switch to accomplish the same purpose. The FuseMaster 76514 will control two ATC/ATO blade fuses. It is designed for vehicles with a battery compartment located under the passenger seat. Torx head driver and #20 Torx bit
power drill with ¾-inch bit or ¾-inch flat auger bit

1. Before the installation, call the dealership to confirm which fuses must be removed.
2. Remove the rear passenger side floor mat, if present. Loosen the screw shown in Figure 1 using a Torx head driver with a #20 Torx bit; lift and pull the battery cover to remove it.
3. Remove the two fuses identified by the dealership. As of the publication of these instructions, the two fuses are attached to the battery cable. If the fuses are not the same color or rating, note which fuse fits which holder.
4. At the center console, remove the bezel surrounding the 12-volt power outlet — carefully pry it out by gripping it around the edges and pulling straight back until the retaining clips (Figure
2) release.
5. Remove the rear panel of the center console by pulling at the edges. The panel is held by retaining clips at the top and bottom and by tabs that fit under the top section (Figure 3). Set the panel aside.
6. Using a power drill with a ¾-inch bit or a ¾-inch flat auger bit, drill a hole in the center of the power outlet panel (Figure continued on next page

3). Before drilling, make certain you will not damage any wiring or components on the other side. Note: if the vehicle is equipped with optional audio/video
connectors, drill the hole in the rear panel of the center console. Remove a corresponding amount of insulation to clear a space for the switch.
7. Note that the wiring at the back of the switch (Figure 4) is
in two pairs, on either side of the divider bar (Figure 4). Remove the wiring from the switch by pulling on each connector (Figure 4) until they separate from their terminals. Note: if the connectors are difficult to remove, move them
back and forth against the terminals as you pull out.
Remove the mounting nut (Figure 4).
8. Position the switch in the hole you drilled, with the blank space (Figure 4) at the top. Reattach the mounting nut with the serrated edge toward the switch. Hand-tighten only.
9. From the battery, feed the end of the FuseMaster harness with the connectors under the carpet and toward the center console. Pull the harness through the hole at the rear of the console and up to the switch. Reattach the four connectors so that one pair of wires is on either side of the divider bar. Do not reinstall the center console panel until you have tested for proper operation.
10. At the battery, attach the two pins (Figure 5) at the end of the FuseMaster harness to the empty fuse holder which is farthest away. Attach the other two pins to the remaining empty fuse holder. Press in on the pins until they are fully seated.
11. Insert the fuses you removed from the battery cable into the FuseMaster holders — the pins with the black wires are connected to the upper fuse holder; the pins with the red wires are connected to the lower fuse holder (Figure 5). Note: if the fuses are not identical, insert them into the
FuseMaster holders which correspond to their original hold­ers.
Figure 6 shows a typical installation.
12. After you have confirmed proper operation in both the “drive” and “tow” positions (see below), reinstall the rear panel of the center console, the bezel surrounding the 12-volt outlet and the battery compartment cover.

Operating instructions
When the top part of the switch is depressed it is in the “drive” position; when the bottom part of the switch is de­pressed it is in the “tow” position (inset, Figure 6). Mount the included “Drive” and “Tow” stickers at the appro­priate sides of the switch.
Never flip the switch to the “tow” position while driv­ing. If the switch is flipped, the electrical functions of the switch FuseMaster has replaced will be lost. A loss of power steering, power brakes and/or a loss of vehicular control may result.
Failure to follow these instructions may cause property damage, personal injury or even death.

Troubleshooting
If FuseMaster fails to operate as described, confirm that…
• …the pins (FIgure 5) are fully seated in the correct position in each fuse holder and they are not touching each other;
• …the connectors (Figure 4) are properly attached to the back of the switch; and
• …there is a properly-installed fuse in both of the FuseMas­ter holders and the fuses are not blown.
