CORD PLUG
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over
a longer cord, This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully
into the outlet, reserve the plug and try again. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician, and do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD
SHOWS ANY DAMAGE OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS
INTERMITTENTLY OR STOP WORKING ENTIRELY.
An extension cord may be used with care; however, the marked electrical rating shall be at least as great
as the electrical rating of this appliance. The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Starting-up the unit
Lightly grease the upper and lower plates with non-stick coating before the unit is used for the rst
time. Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the lid closed (see "Using the unit"). The wipeit
down with a damp cloth.
Do not eat the rst wafes you make.
Using the unit
1. Put the plug into a grounded 120V, 60HZ socket. The red, LED (POWER) lights up.
2. Keep the sandwich maker closed during the warm up period.
3. Open the cover and insert bread and sandwich contents, ensuring bread touches both top and bottom
plates. Place each toast Close the lid gently and lock handles. The green control lamp goes on after a
few seconds,baking is nished.
4. Open the lid and remove the sandwich(es) with a wooden fork or the like.Do not use pointed or sharp
objects to avoid damaging the coating of the baking surfaces.
5. The sancwich maker should always be closed between baking.
6. The indicator light will illuminate when the plug is connected to the outlet; it wil l stay on during
preheating. The indicator light shuts off when appliance is preheated (preheat appliance for
approximately 2.5 minutes).
7. The average cooking time is about 2 minutes.
