LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are
found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord
replaced. Please return it to an authorized service representative.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress
on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE OR IF
APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

CORD PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the ri sk
of electric shock, t his plug i s intended to fit into a p olarized o utlet only one w ay. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, rev erse the plug and try ag ain. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
To ensure continued efficient performance by this can opener, keep the cutting blade
clean.
Can opener should be turned off for one minute after operating for 5 minutes.
CAUTION: Cutting Blade and open can lids are sharp. Use caution when handling.
TO USE CAN OPENER
1. Raise Lever Arm, angle can to place it under the Guide Bar and against the
Geared Wheel.
2. Press down on Lever t o pierce lid of can. Th is automatically starts the cutti ng
action. The can opener will con tinue to cut unt il the lid is comp letely severe d from
the can.
3. Grasp the can, then raise the Lever Arm to release the can.
4. Carefully slide the lid away from the Magnet, usin g caution to avoid being injur ed
by the sharp edge of the lid or the Cutting Blade.
